The African Runway is now at Your Doorstep! Africa Fashion Week London Launches its Concession store – Studio 29

It was all fashion and beautiful faces at the much awaited launch of the Africa Fashion Week London‘s concession store Studio 29 in Opebi, Ikeja on Sunday 14th April 2013.
The Store is a designer hub which stocks brands like AsakeOge, Adebayo Jones, Alabi Couture, Ejiro Amos Tafiri, Yutees, Sally Intiego and many more. In attendance were Victor Olaofe, Tee Y Mix, Mo Eazy, Isi Atagamen, Eva Alordiah, Sharon Ojong, Meg Alabi, Sarah Ofili among other fabulous guests.

With the store catering to all the needs of a modern day fashionista, it is also open for events booking, fashion tea parties and product press launches.  You can also look forward to their monthly sales with the next one to hold on Sunday 26th may 2013.
More is to be expected from the AFWL as they are set to follow their Lekki branch with a subsequent concession branch at Oxford Street, London later this year where they will be stocking African fashion all over the globe. Irrespective of the Studio 29 project, AFWL is also getting set for Africa Fashion Week London which will be holding this August with over 100 designers and an expected 30,000 guests. The AFWL brand is currently receiving applications from across the globe from designers who wish to reach an international audience. Also get ready for successive projects like the Nigeria’s Next Top Designer and Face of Africa Fashion Week London from the AFWL brand.
That’s all exciting, but for now take a look at the photos from the Studio 29 store launch.

Ii cannot stand Nigerian Presentation of Products in a store. Apart from a hand full like Tiffany Amber and the rest, every one i see on this site is always so damn tacky like damn. Almost like going to buy something at Alaba market or some ish.

Put some creativity in your Product Display in a store and dont you dare use the word Luxury or Couture cos it aint none of that ish looking at it. If you live in america visit a h igh end store and pay attention to the floor plan and how they do their visual Merchandising for gods sakes. Every display of the products in this photos are tacky from here to timbuktu. As for the attendees well like they say if you aint got nothing nice to say dont say it at all so for now lets just focus on the tacky discplay of everythang

I was just about to say ‘the visual merchandiser MUST be fired’ but they probably NEVER hired one in the 1st place! Sad.

  • Visual Merchandising Freak April 27, 2013 at 12:11 am

    And I hate Wire Hangers
(just had to add that in too)

If you gon be classy and deem your products classy, learn about classy (oops buy then again you cant buy that ish can ya?) – Ma bad
