South Africa Church - January 2014 - BellaNaija

Pastor Lesego Daniel is the General Overseer of Rabboni Centre Ministers in South Africa.

The church is based at the Garankuwa TUT Campus at Pretoria. And if the reports by a whistle blower is anything to by, he ensures that members of his church eat grass.

The whistle blower claims that the pastor ensured the act to prove a point that humans can be controlled by the spirit of God and can survive on whatever they choose to eat.

As they eat, they are kicked, stepped upon and are said to be dead to touch during this.

Photos are reportedly on the church’s official Facebook page but are only accessible to members of the church.

There’s a higher level of grace which one needs to understand why the grass was not served on plates at least.

A robust response is required from the “MOG”. In the meantime, Keep Calm and Pay Your Tithes, people.

      • Mz Socially Awkward... January 9, 2014 at 12:06 PM

your screen name, sha… I sense there’s a certain establishment you’re spoofing, no?

And the Pastor in this story is on some Jim Jones ish. There’s a kind of repentance that God calls for and it definitely isnt this. He probably wanted to replicate King Nebuchadnezzar’s punishment in the Bible, of living as a wild animal and eating grass like oxen but really don’t see how abusing people will give God pleasure.

We serve a loving, kind and compassionate Father in Heaven and it’s people like this who greatly damage the efforts to spread that message.

        Lol! :-)

Lol! I hear ya! COZA reloaded…

    • Ginika January 9, 2014 at 10:50 AM

Abasi! What is man that you are mindful of him| We are created in God’s image… God is mindful of us and if He can be as majestic as He is, He is a king and we are partakers of His kingdom through the blood of Christ, so how can we be reduced to a grass eating, man-stamping level?

    • sharon January 9, 2014 at 10:50 AM

      Come quickly Lord Jesus!

      • NIRA January 9, 2014 at 12:08 PM

        LMAO!!!!!!

    • Been there January 9, 2014 at 10:54 AM

@ fountain of paper: i take it ur being sarcastic?
Besides alot of so called christains need to realise christianity goes beyond paying tithes.
some of you will pay tithes and ‘first fruits’ and make noise/complaints about it. yet will be dead to christian charity to the poor and needy around you. and btw, i have nothing against paying tithes. may God save the world from psycopaths on the pulpit and people too should read the bible even if it is in your local language so nobody is misleading the other.

      • NIRA January 9, 2014 at 12:10 PM

I take it you’re not familiar with the sentences Fountain
used, they’re from another story here on BN.

        • right January 9, 2014 at 4:36 PM

The COZA pastor’s response. We conveniently swept that under the rug.

      • right January 9, 2014 at 4:38 PM

Preach it. Nigeria is very religious with nothing to show for it: no development, no peace, corruption and bleaching ( lol, just shade).

    • Radiant January 9, 2014 at 10:56 AM

It will yet get weirder in this world.

If he needed a couple of people to volunteer to cut the grass…he should have just said so!!
Christianity is so simple…no need for all these theatrics!

    • Thatgidigirl January 9, 2014 at 11:07 AM

Wonderful! What happened to their bibles though?

      • Blessmyheart January 10, 2014 at 8:51 PM

This is what happens when people call themselves Christians but do not know God, the Bible and are not led by the Spirit of God, they end up being led by FAKE PASTORS.

    • uju January 9, 2014 at 11:34 AM

the Spirit in a man sustains him yes…buh do we need to prove this by eating grass???…Lord have mercy!!

    • billionaire in grace January 9, 2014 at 11:38 AM

People can do anything for salvation.its so simple just believe in jesus and his words then u are saved and enjoy d benefits of salvation

    • whocares January 9, 2014 at 11:40 AM

lmaooooooooooo. Orisirisi. lool. They are kicked and stepped upon as they eat grass. Iyen na da. So if the aim is to make them dead to touch, and survive on whatever they eat, the next thing for them to eat is grass? Even God provided manna from Heaven from the Israelites were stranded.. He did not ask them to eat the sand from the dessert… smh

      • whocares January 9, 2014 at 11:43 AM

        *when the Israelites were stranded..

    • dorys January 9, 2014 at 11:45 AM

We have really not seen or heard anything, the bible has foretold this way back, that in the end times u will hear Wat will make yr hearts fail, so this is just a tip of the iceberg. Get ready folks, but there is hope and security for only those who are in Christ, those who are called by Jesus’s name, those who have given their lives to Christ.

      • Okechukwu Ofili January 9, 2014 at 1:33 PM

mmmm same thing my pastor said in 1993…end time still never reach. Abegi. Leave end time things, read your bible and do the right shit and you have nothing to worry about.

        • B.E January 9, 2014 at 1:45 PM

Okechukwu bible & shit in the same sentence……na wa

        • Fountain of Paper January 9, 2014 at 1:59 PM

Brother Okechukwu, flesh and blood did not reveal this to you…. We shall wait for the coming. We shall wait. And if the coming don begin too long… we shall eat grass, castigate homosexuals, and celebrate corruption.

          Selah.

        • jcsgrl January 9, 2014 at 3:25 PM

And the bible also foretold of people like you Okechukwu who will say end time never reach. Abeg shift… an in the words of my god daughter “you better get yourself together”

        • Yaw January 9, 2014 at 4:42 PM

          Homie, you have gone crazy!

      • abi-oh January 9, 2014 at 5:30 PM

Some how I don’t even blame people, most of these pastor just prey on the vulnerability of people;people desperate with problems and will look for what seems to be to most practically thing, people don’t willingly decide they’re are going to follow “Fake pastors” some people commenting here have pastors with body guards and shit talking about “higher grace”.
lol last I remember end times was in 2000 and march 2010 or something like that, but here we are. the world has been filled with these kinds of stories we’re only just seeing them now because of internet.

        • Newbie January 9, 2014 at 8:58 PM

Gbam! My people have a saying – “ada eji anya oma aba cherubim” which loosely translates to “dem nor dey use clear eye enter white garment church”. I don’t know when people will stop running from pillar to post in search of miracles.

Hmm. Another case of Jim Jones????

    • Theresa January 9, 2014 at 2:49 PM

“My people perish for lack of knowledge” – Hosea 4:6. As long as Christians refuse to know God for themselves, but hang onto every word their MOG says, they will continue to suffer all manner of deception and pain.

God is available to everyone and loves each of us us dearly. You don’t need your MOG to act as the intermediary between you and God. You can boldly approach Him, He is always waiting just like the father of the Prodigal Son, to receive you without condemnation.

Na wa ooooooo, goat will start running from human being now just the way dogs purue some people on the road thinking they are from Cross Rivers. Also, there is no need to use tractor for clearing the grass as far as human being can finish it with their teeth.

If you check well, evil manipulations like this are hapening everyhwhere, just in different dimensions probably not as barbaric as this, but still they are happening. Even in Nigeria. You just have to be careful what church you delve into, especially people who only go to church in search of one miracle or the other.

    • New naija January 9, 2014 at 9:56 PM

Most Africans do go to church and forget their brains at home .so don’t be surprise!

    • NNENNE January 10, 2014 at 3:17 AM

Not only Africans. Reminds me of the story of Jones town massacre in Guyana, South America.

    • NNENNE January 10, 2014 at 3:18 AM

There’s also the story of heaven’s gate in USA.
