I think lagos babes are very confident when it comes to colour but always safe when it comes to silhouette and style.

    MAXI DRESSES? BLACK TROUSERS?

I think I’ve been transported back to 1998……jeez!

yep, BN simply has one of the best, if not the best media coverage of Nigerian events! Beautiful job (literally). I definately are one of the top stylish women in the world. However, I have to ask what on earth the girl in the vright pink bra and sparkly top is wearing (see 2nd to last row)??? tisk, tisk, its sad that she probably considers it to be fashionable.

i am feeling some of the colorful bold prints….i will always love maxi flowy dresses..

I have noticed something tho…. sometimes u see a naija babe (in some of these social event pics ave seen here or in person sef) rocking a correct dress, but then when it comes time to accessorize, it seems like thunder struck. The ill-fitting/cordinated accessories tend to overcloud and render the otherwise pretty clothes tacky-looking.

PS: Some of the girls should tone down a bit on the makeup naaaau. O gini du! Less is always best, and if u’re gonna pile on, atleast choose ur shade, not shades lighter than ur own complexion, making u look like ekpo (masquerade)……

Nice pics, definitely bellanaija is the best so far,i pick great fashion tips for my wife, but a bit sad as u dont put pics of traditional wear collections for men from nigerian designers like okunoren twins, vivid imagination, dakova, momo etc.dont tell me this site is for women fashion only, try and balance things o ,otherwise i’ll accuse u of being feministic

ola do you know what feminism means?
if bella refuses to put men’s fashion on here, then she is sexist not feministic.
thanks in advance for changing your world view

Oh Elle baby! (can I call you Elle?). It isnt hate its LOVE….love of fashion.

And that passion makes me speak my mind. We all have different taste, mine just happens to be for stuff that feels fresh and current. Im not saying these women dont look nice….they do, but few are taking any risks and it can get boring…..yawn!

There is a strong pull towards conformity in naij and its prevalent on this site too, where anyone who dares to say anything other than “Yay!….Love it!” gets called out. But just as diversity in fashion makes for an interesting scene, diversity on Bella keeps it poppin!

So I’ll leave you to your sycophantic mewling and you can leave me to my vitriol.

    Translation- Face your front!

good job bella, am not ‘amazing’ or anythin when it comes to dressing up, but some ladies need to get it right with accesorizing abeg…… am not liking the BRIIGHT pink bra and SHINY black top in the last few pics …..odikwa risky mehn!!!!!!! and do i spot a lace wig gone wrong or some sort of hair band … i dnt get it,lol.

  26. Jayla

    March 6, 2009 at 2:02 pm

odikwa really risky with the pink bra and lace front…….. babe dey vex o

  27. ifeoma

    March 6, 2009 at 3:06 pm

the girl with the pink bra showing looks a little toooooo young to be dressed like that. haba…

  28. BOLA

    March 6, 2009 at 3:12 pm

too young??? no one in their right fashion sense (or any sense at all) would get-up like that.

  29. Adaeza

    March 6, 2009 at 6:48 pm

90% of naija women are as broke as hell… they don’t have assets. They don’t save there money they compete and live for fashion. They need to get real…For the rest of their life they will depend on men for money.

I know this comment is coming a tad late, but I’ve noticed this mistake severally in various online publications…the lady in the maxi dress is not Ifeanyi Adefarasin but her sister, Grace Onosode. This mix-up appears in a lot of internet articles…pls note! thanks
