It was a night of fun, laughter, fashion, music and goodwill at the Children of Haggai 1-2-1 soiree at the Oriental Hotel in Lagos.
The Children of Haggai (COH) Foundation was set up 2 years ago, by Sheffy Belo-Osagie. It aims to partner with members of the society and educational institutions to provide education for under-privileged children, fostering the social imperative to assist the less fortunate. The event, which was hosted by Uti Nwachukwu and Eku Edewor started out with speeches from the Lagos state Commissioner for Youth and Social Development, Commissioner for Education and Mo Abudu.
Guests at the event were also thrilled by performances from Yinka Davies, Tiwa Savage, Basketmouth, Dammy Krane, Xplicit Kids, Rilwan, SDC all of whom performed pro bono. Well-known designers such as Liberal Designs, House 38, Phunkafrique, John Membu, Grey, Toju Foyeh and House of Nwocha also provided additional glitz and glamour to the occasion with key pieces from their lines.
But it wasn’t only about the fashion, music and speeches, the night aimed to raise finance for orphaned children and did just that. Money raised from the event has gone towards sponsoring 26 children in total-20 from Lekki Motherless Babies Home, 6 from Little Saints Orphanage. COH would like to use this opportunity to say a huge thank you to everyone who participated in making the event a huge success.
