lovely outfits, but there is no underlying factor that makes this a collection, it could be very well described as a bunch of nice vintage outfits i bought at a departmental store……. nice outfits, no theme.

This model is obviously an amateur, it shows through the pictures and she makes the clothes less interesting

  36. petrina

    January 28, 2012 at 2:07 am

I don’t like some of the shots but I really like the model! She looks like she’s a delight to work with. Her personality shines through the photos. I am tired of seeing “fierce” Nigerian/ black models. Sometimes you just want to see so much personality and energy!

  37. Designo

    January 28, 2012 at 8:54 pm

The Model is pretty, I like her style. That being said, this is typical, overdone & totally cliche. Please get over it!! Nigerian brands feel you can buy ‘Vintage’ clothes or sew ankara, jack someone Else’s design, grab a camera man and start releasing collections left & right. Its a joke. A cigarette? Please step it up people. You need more than this to compete on an international level. The fashion industry in Nigeria is fueled by competing with each other, no real original ideas.

  40. omonaija

    January 30, 2012 at 1:07 am

collection or not, every photo shoot has a theme, and this has none. I’m not a hater, but i agree with designo’s comment. The competition out there in the fashion world is fierce and if ours designers genuinely aim global, they have to do much better. Nevertheless, there are some who really are good, but for some others, its just a fad. Back to these pictures, taking shots of a model in clothes is not an art, the art is having a vision, and interpreting it with clothes. there has to be a structure, a THEME as far as it’s a planned shoot and some some idle time at the studio. This is what we lack in almost every art in Nigeria NOLLYWOOD inclusive; ATTENTION TO DETAIL!!!

oh please stop with all the holiness!so what if its a cigarette?Half the guys in Lagos smoke weed, most ladies smoke cigarettes, stop acting like she’s doing something that is quite novel. Its called artistic license, free them joor!
