Suicide Attack Kills Scores in Pakistani Park as Families were Celebrating the Easter Holiday

At least 70 people, mostly women and children have been killed at Gulshan-e-Iqbal Park in Lahore, Pakistan while celebrating the Easter holiday on Sunday evening.

The attack which was perpetuated by a suicide bomber left over 400 people injured.

A splinter group of the Pakistani Taliban, Jamaat-ul-Ahrar, later claimed responsibility for the attack, saying they targeted Christians.

According to Aljazeera, a spokesman for the terrorist sect, Ehsanullah Ehsan, said We want to send this message to Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif that we have entered Lahore. He can do what he wants but he won’t be able to stop us. Our suicide bombers will continue these attacks.”
