BN Bytes: International Tennis Champions Venus & Serena Williams Arrive in Lagos for the ‘Breaking The Mould’ Initiative

Tennis champions Venus and Serena Williams have landed in Lagos as part of the Breaking The Mould initiative. The sisters arrived yesterday and were welcomed by the officials of Connect Marketing Services Ltd. Venus Williams arrived first and Serena came later in the evening.

The Breaking The Mould (BTM) initiative is a women’s empowerment programme organized by Octagon and its West Africa affiliate, Connect Marketing Services Ltd.

As part of the initiative, there will be a tennis clinic and a school visit where the sisters will talk to the young ones with a bid to motivate and inspire them. The idea is to show that people can be the best they can be regardless of life’s obstacles with hard work, passion and the determination to succeed.
