P-Square’s “Alingo”, Waje, Phyno, Iyanya, Kcee, Banky W & Clarence Peters Lead the 2013 Headies Nominees List | See Who Else Got a Nod!

Who will take home top Headies?!

The full nominees list for the 2013 Headies was just announced a few minutes ago. The annual music awards ceremony will take place on Boxing Day – Thursday 26th December 2013 at the Oriental Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos.

The 2013 list cuts across all genres of music including R&B, Hip Hop and Soul, all from March 2012 to June 2013. Leading the nominations list are Phyno, Waje, Banky W, 2Face Idibia, Clarence Peters and P-Square.

Veteran musician Onyeka Onwenu will be honoured for her achievements in music with the Hall of Fame award.

    This is the first music awards show that I’ve been excited for in a loooong time! These nominations are truly representative of good Nigerian music in 2013. Shockingly, I’m rooting for Olamide.
    And yes, BN…You really should consider changing that headline. Olamide has the most nominations. We know y’all like Psquare and Waje and co, but your headline undermines Olamide’s achievement. C’mon, nobody else has his 8 nominations.

    Am I the only one that feels that songs of the year should
    really be songs that came out during that particular year. And why
    are old songs recurring on the list??? If they didn’t make it last
    year why should they be on the list this year. And most of those
    albums came out last year. CHAi!!!
