darling i don’t think the Igbo dressing is far from this…note that this girl was born and brought up in Warri…definitely she must have infused the south south dressing into her style.. its normal…

    • Miss_Flygerian

Lovely bride. Why would she dress to impress anyone on her day?? I wonder how some of us think. You can reserve that ”impressed ” thing for your day. #hisses.

@Sharon,this is how Igbo women dress. Either you stick with this or you go for the very traditional attire associated with George wrapper and coral beads.

I once watched a movie with Patience Ozokwo in it that implied that in Igbo culture a pregnant bride cannot be present at her trad someone has to stand in for her is this true? In the movie Patience stood in for her cousin and then started laying claims to the groom afterwards it was hilarious

    • Miss_Flygerian

      July 18, 2014 at 5:51 am

Nah! That’s just a movie. Many of these Nollywood home videos just twist Igbo culture into what it’s not.

    • deedar

      July 18, 2014 at 10:53 am

Absolutely. They manufacture so much false stuff in some of those movies.

@Zizi. I also thought she was from Amichi – right from the moment they announced the engagement – given her last name. Many families from Amichi have the “UME” as part of their last name.
