A mix of pop culture, Indie sensibilities, and inspired by the British rock band – Bastille! Nigerian fashion label Fruché presents its Spring/Summer 2015 collection.

The collection, titled “Bastille“, was inspired by the Creative Director – Frank Aghuno‘s interest in the rock band’s style of music. From the way they remixed covers of pop songs to their ethereal vibe; he wanted to create a collection that mirrored their brilliance.

With paintings by his twin brother – Fred Aghuno who is a artist and painted all 3 backdrops, the collection materializes colour, prints and patterns. “Bastille” has pieces in organza, chiffon, silk-cotton and satin with Spring colours like peach, mustard, champagne, white, blue and black. We love the cut-outs, thigh-high slits, asymmetrical and structured sleeves.

“inspired by British rock band- bastille” REALLY?

I don’t think you should have named this beautiful collection bastille. just because u love that song pompeii (I love that song also and bad blood) and you love the way they remix other songs that doesn’t mean you should have named your work after them.

crop tops were last 2 seasons ago. some pieces I like some pieces I have seen before.

    love the set design tho.

I actually first thought of the french prison that was stormed by an angry mob of working class people in the 14th century, during their French Revolution. That’s the name of the prison. Interesting that there is a band named after it.

It’ called bastille because the birthday of singer dan smith is on the 14 July
