Wana Sambo Resort 2015 Modern Elegance Collection - Bellanaija - April2015015

It’s double great news for lovers of Nigerian fashion.

Womenswear brand, Wana Sambo, is set to open its flagship store tomorrow – Sunday April 2015; and they are giving you some fab fashion to get you in the mood for the launch with their Resort 2015 collection. That’s not all, female rap star Eva Alordiah is the face of the new collection. Yay!

Titled “Modern Elegance“, the collection is perfect for the modern woman’s clean and chic wardrobe. The Designer, Wana, wanted to play with colours but still keep the pieces & silhouettes simple and clean.

According to the brand, “we wanted a fun side of the Wana Sambo woman and we wanted to appeal to the woman on trend, hence the name ‘Modern Elegance’.” They used colours like mint, blue, pale pink, wood brown, tan and black to portray the fashion brand’s simplistic chic designs.

On why they picked Eva as the face/ambassador, the brand explained she embodies the strong, sexy and exotic Wana Sambo woman.

Nice?????? Abi una drink ogogoro? How can this be nice with that below par tailoring?Make una dey fear God o.On a serious note these designers must understand that quality tailoring is sacrosanct in fashion.Wana,Wana,Wana, this is BAD.Please don`t listen to people whose aim is to deceive. You need to start all over again or quit!

the model or the designs? i only liked the prints cos it hid the finishing.
i am forced to believe the designer didn’t fit the model before the photo shot hence the over sized clothes, a steam iron would also go a long way next time

Please what is this, pretty girl in poorly finished clothes.where do I start from.the material here looks really cheap and tacky and the attempt to avant-garde was an epic fail.please can someone tell wana to learn about the female body.

    April 26, 2015 at 11:44 pm

All these yaba materials and cheap ass desiners….after she will come and fight with the poor eva for helping her after using the poor girls makeup for free for her campaign.

Hawk your clothings to the street hawkers wana

  22. Kemi

    April 26, 2015 at 11:55 pm

Eva keeps putting her hand behind her cuz the clothes are badly fitted. They sell the print material at yaba market, see it there before.

  23. Kyl

    April 27, 2015 at 12:05 am

Same shoes all thru, this designer cannot even spend on her campaign pictures and am sure the make up was also free and she probably gave Eva one dress only

It isn’t about the shoes, the designer makes clothing, not shoes. There is no need for changing the shoes. Go learn international standards of creating a look book before you insult hard-working designers like Wana.

  26. *Real* Nice Anon

    April 27, 2015 at 2:46 pm

Nope! This does not look good at all. The poor quality of the materials, the finishing isn’t good either then the styling is horrible. Makes the model look too harsh and not womanly enough.

What’s with the 20cm hems? Material cheap. Best dress is the pink strapless – even when Vimbai wore it to AMVCAs it was perfect.
Next time, designer needs to measure model and iron clothes before shoot.

    Less than impressive tailoring/designing.
There’s cutting your hair low like Zainab Balogun, and there is this other ‘shaving’ of the head like Eva. The latter style is almost never flattering on a woman, no matter how pretty. * shrug*

This is a beautiful collection. I wish people wouldn’t be so negative, so destructive. It is sad that all we can sometimes do, is see the bad, over and over again…Anyway, well done Wana
