Kemi! oh Kemi, my lovely Kemi, now that you have made a point which might not even be valid, should we take a cab down to alausa to give her a query later? or should we write an open letter on “Your First lady has let go” to Fashola, so he can decide to divorce her and then come looking for kemi (“that won’t let herself go”) to marry? My point: You keep your “let go” observations to yourself until the husband thinks your point matter n decides to consult you, which I definitely know will happen after Hell becomes a freezer. Thanks My dear Kemi, aka “let go observer” #ContinuesWithMyGarriAndBurntBeans

What many of us don’t know is Nigeria is still on a precipice. This is not a time for truimphalism and celebration. This is a time for the intellectuals to think of how to sow the seeds of nation building. Like PDP or not, for the most part PDP was in power there were no losers, by that I mean because they had a national outlook where every region was represented in the party and the fact that they had at a time 34 states in their party, everybody was carried along in the winning coalition. Now we have a situation where two regions of Nigeria are basically losers. This is a recipe for disaster, if not handled properly. We need a country with an efficient, clean and inclusive government, but I doubt our intellegensia is thinking in that direction. This could be Nigeria’s finest hour if we manage this transition well, unless we will continue to maintain tribal enclaves masquerading as a nation as we have always done. #word is enough for the wise

You are the person bringing in tribalism…

Those same region chose not to engage in national politics and instead decided to vote for a party that has kept the country stagnated for 15 years. Abeg Rochas they haven’t voted in, what do you expect APC to do?

I suggest said regions reflect and realise that if they are to be represented adequately in Abuja they need to drop their suspicion/dislike of other regions/tribes and start engaging!

It’s just the pic and the angle it was taken from. She turned 50 recently and I must say she’s still very okay for her age. Very simple woman

lol…Let me not lie…the first thing that crossed my mind is the way she looks (I feel bad though cos I love me some Fasholas). I don’t think she ‘let herself go’ sha… she just comes across as someone who has always been laid back. I’m no stepford wife (in the making) o but totally laid back doesn’t cut it for me, a little effort goes a long way for us as women IMO. Just a trendier style of boubou and/or tying the scarf in a more fashionable way would have changed a lot. Yes, she is in her house but they obviously have company….
While it’s very obvious BRF likes his honey-pie like that….I don’t think it’s a totally terrible thing to discuss her style (or the lack of it). Moreover she won’t read this thread (hopefully) so we are not hurting her feelings (if that makes any sense)lol 😀

Isn’t it funny that those complaning/observing she let herself go are female? Later when Bruno gets on our case, we cry blue murder. I have no comment on whether she let herself go or not but if we can all upload pictures of our mothers in their own ‘within the house boubou’, then we can be justified. Girls……..celebrating ‘fakeness’ since 1920! Toke dressed to the nines yesterday to vote, we yapped her. Mrs Fashola is dressed down in her OWN house hugging and dancing with her ‘grey haired’ hubby, we are yapping her. Omo araye! Fear God!

Madonna is 57, looks way better. Nike oshinowo is almost 50…looks far far better. So please drop the excuses. And for those saying she doesn’t need to dress up bla bla bla. A woman doesn’t need to dress up to look you. She looks like his mum…that’s all.

What is your argument? Her smile, her moderate dress, her dance steps or her stature? I do not understand the debate about this picture. If you don’t like APC or BRF that is your problem. What is wrong with this Indoor picture?

    April 13, 2015 at 12:08 pm

Is that fashola’s WIFE or MOTHER?

How can you compare her to Madonna and Nike Oshinowo? She’s a public figure, not a celebrity. And she just became a public figure in the last 8 years. I don’t think she has EVER been slim. So what’s your problem. Most of you critics, if your mothers were to be first ladies today, how will they look? Then compare your mum with celebrities who pay people (including plastic surgeons) to keep them in shape.
Anyway, like her or not, Gov Fashola is still crazy about her. And I can say as first lady she was moderate, elegant and well comported. What are you looking for again. If you are looking for Mrs. Physically perfect, go and marry Kim Kardashian for Fashola.

  17. Truth hurts only a little

    April 13, 2015 at 3:44 pm

Hmmm…I love Mrs Fashola. But I honestly wish she would make more efforts to look good. Whether you like it or not, First ladies are expected to look nice. Not flamboyant or over dressed just nice. Cue Mariam Babangida. Anyways, I hope Fash has left that his Zenith bank mistress of many years . Hehe he,don’t ask me her name o.
