For SLY! Weird MC, Ruggedman & More at One Nite: Live & Unplugged – African Legends of Hip Hop Special Tribute Edition
It was indeed a fitting tribute and celebration!
Some Nigerian music veterans united at The Arena Bar & Lounge on Saturday 6th June 2015 to celebrate the life, times and memory of their late friend and colleague, Classic FM OAP – Sylvester ‘SLY’ Ojigbede.
Performances ranging from Weird MC to Ruggedman, Mbryo and veteran rap artise – Elajoe, definitely got the audience on their feet. Elajoe also co-hosted with Bola ‘The Genie’ Sonola.

Friends and family members including SLY‘s wife, sister and two brothers who were in attendance took to the stage to recount personal experiences of him.
The One Nite: Live & Unplugged – African Legends of Hip-Hop Special Tribute Edition for SLY touched a musical nerve – paying homage to the old school hip-hop classics, music genre he passionately championed.
The tribute edition was stepped up by Chocolate City‘s DJ Caise and DJ Humility who set the turn tables on fire by playing back to back old school bangers which had everyone grooving till 4 AM.

A book of condolences was on hand at the venue entrance and proceeds from event go to SLY’s family.
