Saraki’s Aide Claims No One Attacked Senate President at Eid Praying Ground

Everyone is still talking about how Senate President, Bukola Saraki, was allegedly attacked at the Eid-el-Kabir prayer ground in Ilorin, Kwara State.

An angry mob is said to have hurled sachets of pure water and stones at Saraki and other dignitaries.

In case you missed it, here is the alleged video of the attack:

Bankole Omisore, the Special Assistant to the Senate President on new media, said on Thursday that no one attacked Saraki.

Bankole’s denial is contained in a statement issued in Ilorin.

The statement said that the senate president arrived at the praying ground without any incident and prayed alongside other Muslim faithful.

“The senate president arrived at the venue this morning without any incident, prayed with other Muslim faithful, including the Emir of Ilorin, His Royal Highness (HRH), Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu Gambari,” Omisore said in the statement.

The SA said that Saraki spoke to reporters, who had asked for his message for Nigerians as part of the celebration of Eid el-Kabir.

The statement reads in part, “We want to say that nothing can be further from the truth as the senate president was never attacked nor was there any attempt made on his life to warrant him being ‘whisked away’ as reported by a section of the media.”

The SA explained that what happened was that a protest allegedly staged by local government employees over the non-payment of their salaries was almost hijacked by hoodlums, but were effectively stopped from doing so by security agents.

“Therefore, to say that the senate president was attacked at the venue of the prayers is totally false and a figment of the imagination of those behind the story. The protest was never targeted at him; neither was any missile hurled at him,” Omisore further said.

According to him, the Kwara Government has since issued a statement saying that majority of the workers in the state have received their salaries.

He said he was optimistic that those yet to receive their salaries would do so on Monday in view of the public holiday on Thursday and Friday.

Bukola Saraki is a criminal and deserves whatever he gets in CCT.
However…I’m disgusted by the selective corruption fighting being exhibited by the APC (because obviously APC is behind all this to teach him a lesson)

Nigerians have been misled by the so called pristine party called the APC….who happen to have a lot of criminals in their midst who they chose not to prosecute because they support the party.

If Saraki was such a criminal….why receive him with open arms when he defected from the PDP? Why chose him to run as a senator under your party? Why accept his campaign funding done with stolen funds?
He was very instrumental in Buhari’s victory. Then he was a saint….All of a sudden they realise he’s now a thief cos he didn’t do as they wished?

How many more thieves are being protected by the APC?

NIGERIA has a long way to go in fighting corruption.

Even John boehner is resigning, Saraki must Go! Man up, leave before you are disgraced out!
If not for your party(since you don’t seem to have loyalty to any party), resign to protect what is left of the Saraki name, for your poor children who must be feeling embarrassed by all these mess.
Go to one of the private islands you bought in the Bahamas. Stay there for a few years and comeback in 3yrs and 8mths. If we’ve forgiven you then we may give you another chance.

And like their father what has his kids done in their life? Have they ever worked? They are busy spending the proceeds of their father and grandfather’s criminality. People like you who support criminality blindly need Jesus, Buddha, Amadioha, Guru Maharaji, Sango and mohammed combined in your God forsaken lives. Ekwensu

Bamikole Omishore is a perpetual psychophant and chronic liar, same way he tweeted that APC had zoned the Senate President to the North Central, same way he also said that El-Rufai provided all the evidence that will be used to prosecute Saraki at the Code of Conduct Tribunal. We are not dumb or daft people, we all saw the video and what the people were saying, that they were tired of Saraki, that they are no longer fools, Saraki is a thief, Saraki has been camouflaged and smuggled out. Yet Mr Omisore prefers to draw wool over the eyes of the public, well nothing better can come out of Omisore, his entire life, success and hopes for the future are tied to the continued relevance of Saraki, so it is see no evil, hear no evil.
