Ebola Survivor Dr. Ada Igonoh Welcomes Baby Girl!
Yay!
Dr. Ada Igonoh, Ebola survivor and Resident staff of First Consultant Medical Centre shared her story a couple of months ago about how life has been a year after surviving the deadly virus (click here).
Dr Ada’s amazing story of surviving Ebola was shared exclusively on BellaNaija in September 2014.
We are excited to announce that she has given birth to a baby girl.
The baby was born a few hours ago at the Greater El-Monte Community Hospital in California.
Since she shared the news of her pregnancy Ada Igonoh has been under medical surveillance to ensure the child is Ebola-free.
The beautiful baby girl has been certified Ebola free.
To mark this wonderful news, the staff and friends of First Consultants Medical Centre are jubilant in celebration as they welcome a new lease of life to the institution and in memory of fallen colleagues and Survivors of Ebola.
The World Health Organization, in concert with the Centre for Disease Control, formally declared Nigeria Ebola-Free on October 20, 2014.
Congratulations to the new mother and father.
