BN Collection to Closet: Dolapo Sijuwade in FIA Factory

Hey fashion lovers!

We have another edition of BN Collection to Closet – the style feature where we show love to our African fashion designers by shining a light on those who #BuyAfrican.

Today we are having some fashion fun with Princess Dolapo Sijuwade in Nigerian fashion brand – FIA Factory.

BN Collection to Closet Marcy Dolapo Oni in FIA Factory - BellaNaija - January 2016004

The FIA womenswear brand is a rocking new fashion label that seeks to put a new spin on chic ready-to-wear fashion. Owned by designers – Funke, Ijeoma and Abi – the brand is all about making pieces from ankara fabrics, and we are loving all they have to offer. If you missed their first collection, check “Qua-Iboe” here.

Showing us just how fabulous she is, TV personality Dolapo Sijuwade rocks a signature piece from the collection. The piece is an ankara skirt, complete with mixed prints. Dolapo styled the skirt with a pristine white shirt, and fabulous black heels.

Looks better on the model. Dolapo couldnt pull this off cos of her frame.

What’s with the princess tag though? You all need to stop! Its very tacky. They are Oba of yesterday.

The waist looks quite high on Dolapo making her appear even shorter. Nevertheless I think she looks good. She’s a Princess na… whether na Oba of yesterday or next generation, royalty doesn’t expire. At least that’s how it is in other cultures unless it’s different in Nigeria?

Its a NO for me. She too petit and the skirt swallows her up plus it doesnt fit as snugly as it does the model. It is not fine bella naija una do o, unless this is a subtle shade, i dunno what yal are we loving about *yimu*

the outfit did no justice on dolapo. From the shirt, looks somehow then the skirt huh! Bella, you people can lie! That skirt makes her waist look funny, she looked shorter and that red patch on her veejah looks terrible even on the model’s body too. Now dolapo has nice feet but common, the shoes: Its a NAY FOR ME
