Saraki to face day-to-day trial till Judgment is Pronounced



Bukola-Saraki-official-e1439307391609Justice Danladi Umar of the Code of Conduct Tribunal, CCT has ordered the day-to-day trial of embattled Senate President Bukola Saraki until judgment is delivered on the 13-count criminal charge pending against him.

“Let me state it here for both the prosecution and the defence that the trial of the defendant shall proceed on a day-to-day basis till the conclusion of this matter and it will begin from 10 AM to 6 PM,” he said.

He also added that the court would go on break at 1 PM and 4 PM on each day of the trial.

This development is following the move by the Senate to amend the Code of Conduct Bureau and Code of Conduct Tribunal Act. Click here if you missed it

    What is the meaning of that? 10am to 6pm? Anyways that will not stop the senate from amending the act I hope. Danladi Umar, APC, and CCT be witch-hunting the poor man u hear? We know what’s up. Mtchewww

    Health issues can actually come to play here as counsel can claim fatigue. Pity that the whole war against corruption we all prayed for and the sane society many died for has been reduced to a ‘Saraki must go” campaign.

    Rather surprising no other past governor has been identified to have falsely declared asset and facing similar trial.

    Bukola Saraki’s daily appearance at the court as a defendant will surely undermine his effectiveness, and Credibility as a Speaker of the Senate. Resign from your position as the Senate President now. “Time for you to go”. “You are stinking up the Joint”. A word is enough for the wise. I’ m just saying.

    saraki and his like minds at the senate decided to speedily change the law….so Danladi also wants a speedy trial…….no wahala here now!
