In this interview with Chinedu Obiano of 247ng.com, Alhaji Mujahid Dokubo-Asari talks about the 2015 general elections and democracy in Nigeria.
The Ijaw leader said that democracy is missing in Nigeria because there is no government of the people, for the people, and by the people in the country.
He described the 2015 general elections as one that was marred with irregularities, saying that the presidential election that produced President Muhammadu Buhari was “highly questionable”.
Speaking on President Buhari’s tenure, The Alabo Edi Abali of Kalabari said: “As far as Buhari is concerned, he is greater, bigger, and above the constitution”.
“It is very clear that an evil man is ruling,” he said.
On the return of militancy in the Niger Delta region, Asari said that president Buhari “invited it”, saying that he clearly provided the environment for people to resist.
