Painful to Watch…A Glimpse into Poverty-Stricken Conditions in Bakassi

It is a painful reality but it is THE reality!
Majority of Nigerians are suffering. From the squalid Internally Displaced Persons (IDP) camps in the North to the Niger Delta, it is all around us.
Channels TV took a trip to Bakassi and what they found was not pretty.
Hundreds have been displaced from their homes by Cameroonian Jandams, children are dying of diseases and hunger, women are being raped and infected with HIV.

The people feel abandoned by the government and international agencies, this has given rise to militants who claim to be “defenders of the people”.

Very sad situation.
