President BuhariHappy birthday to President Muhammadu Buhari!

The president, whose daughter, Zahra, got married yesterday, turned 74 today.

Former president, Goodluck Jonathan, Speaker of the House of Assembly, Yakubu Dogara, and former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar have all sent birthday messages to the president.

In a statement by his Media Adviser, Ikechukwu Eze, Jonathan said:

On the occasion of your 74th birthday, I write to congratulate and felicitate with you. I pray that this day meets you well and that there shall be many happy returns.

I also use this opportunity to congratulate you once more as your daughter, Zahra, is given away in marriage to Ahmed Indimi.

May God bless this union and may it bring joy to the couple and their families. Always wishing you the best.

Dogara, in a statement by his Special Adviser on Media and Public Affairs, Turaki Hassan, also felicitated with the president.

He said president Buhari’s leadership is “divine,” adding that Nigerians have confidence in him to lead the country to prosperity.

Atiku, in a tweet, said: “Happy birthday, President Buhari. I wish you more wisdom and strength as you continue running the affairs of our dear nation.”

President Buhari was born in Daura, Katsina state, on December 17, 1942 to Adamu and Zulaihat Buhari.

He attended primary school in Daura and Mai’adua before proceeding to Katsina Model School in 1953, and to Katsina Provincial Secondary School (now Government College Katsina) from 1956 to 1961.

Buhari joined the Nigerian Army by enrolling in the Nigerian Military Training College (NMTC) in 1961. The college was upgraded to an officer commissioning unit in February 1964, and was later renamed the Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA). From 1962 to 1963, Buhari underwent officer cadet training at Mons Officer Cadet School in Aldershot, England.

He also attended the U.S Army War College (USAWC), Carlisle, Pennsylvania, between 1979 & 1980 where he bagged a degree in Strategic Studies.

Happy Birthday Mr. President. Seeing we are stuck with you for the next 2+ years at least, i also join Alhaji Atiku to pray for God’s wisdom for you, in all ramification, including wisdom to know that you truly need wisdom. Maybe then at the end of your tenure, we will still have a country called ‘Nigeria’.

Madam Aisha, may you have a successful day too as it is indeed your day of duty… in the other 2 rooms that is.

He was 53 when he had Zahra, heiya. Mr President you have fallen my hand. I wish you will be impeached since you don’t have any agenda for Nigerians other than the northern one you came in with . However, I know that is asking for too much from our selfish National Assembly

Happy birthday to you. But just note that I’m only wishing you “happy birthday” just to fulfill all righteousness. You have been a bad President and you’ve successfully divided Nigeria between 95% and 5%

Happy birthday sir !!! God bless you, grant you wisdom and better understanding. # Ilovemypresident#.

Say what you like but Buhari is a far better candidate than Jonathan. In fact no grounds for comparison. Remember Jona’s time it was one bomb blast per week. No….no need to jog your memory, just go back on BN posts. And now, ….although we still get the odd blasts, we hear of the progress made my the army to address the situation.

In Jona’s time, Nigeria was in total rot and decay from the top. Jona was a puppet and his wife was… let’s say brash and uncouth. The policy then was loot & squander with impunity.

Anyways Buhari has good intentions. I mean compare his daughter’s wedding to Jona’s. He didn’t have to but he explained how the daughter’s wedding was funded. He has now explained that the recovered looted funds will be injected into next year budget. He is a simple man with a good vision but he lacks a water tight structure to coordinate the country. Also age is not on his side. To rule Nigeria norr be moi moi. It’s overwhelming. But he is giving it his best shots. People will come out to say he is only harassing southerners but what stopped Jona from arresting Northerners in his own regime? And now, this platform to engage with Nigerians. Abeg make we talk true when we see am. I’m Igbo ohh by the way. #Buhariwelldone#. An igbo parable: e to nwa dike o mee ozo. Really hopeful. #rantover#. Back to getting ready for….wink wink

“He is a simple man with a good vision but he lacks a water tight structure to coordinate the country.”
      He has no vision though.

“People will come out to say he is only harassing southerners but what stopped Jona from arresting Northerners in his own regime?”
There are so many things wrong with this statement.

      @ Authentic Sunshine:
You made no sense at all. But let me just clarify one of your nonsense. GEJ was not the one bombing Nigeria. It was the aggrieved northerners to whom rulership to them is their birthright. Whatever success you think Buhari has achieved now on bokoharam is all acting. Their brother is in power, that’s why they have let us be.

@ Authentic Sunshine you are a liar pants on fire with your lies! Comparing your illiterate President that lacks all shades of wisdom to GEJ is like comparing light and darkness, ask yourself who and who were behind Bokoharam? Remember ‘ fight against Bokoharam is fight against the North’ who made that statement! I leave you with your conscience Authentic Darkness hissssss

Never mind ‘dumbos’ like @ Authentic.

Ali Modu Sheriff accused of sponsoring boko haram by several persons, including the Australian negotiator Steven Davies is Buhari’s in-law – his nephew married Aisha Buhari oldest daughter, Halima in 2012. This same Sheriff is being used to destabilize the PDP, making sure the party doesn’t put up a united font.
