BN Cuisine: Chef Lola shares a Recipe for Groundnut Soup on Afropotluck | Watch

The West African Peanut/Groundnut soup has a wonderful combination of flavours, and it’s loaded with a lot of protein from the Peanuts! It can be eaten with a variety of things from pounded yam to rice and it couldn’t be simpler to make.

Ingredients

  • 1 Cup Groundnut
  • 1 Smoked Turkey Thigh
  • 1 Lb Beef
  • 1/4 to 1/2 Cup Palm Oil (or Peanut Oil)
  • Handful Spinach
  • 1 Large Onion
  • 1 Tablespoon Crayfish
  • 1 Habanero Pepper
  • 2 Seasoning Cubes
  • 2 Teaspoons Grated Ginger
  • Salt To Taste

    i don’t get adding palm oil to my groundnut soup. Peanuts are already chock full of fatty oils.

    Looks yummy and nutritious. I’m definitely going to try it out. Thumbs up to Chef Lola for the amazing job she’s been doing. I’ve learnt a lot from here.
