Today’s episode of Cornelia O’Dwyer’s “Chick Chat Live” is a 45 min special business edition where they talk money, featuring Bilikiss Adebiyi Abiola(Founder Wecyclers), Ese Aigbogun (Co-founder Greensprout NG) and Kemdi Uwaje-Begho (MD, Future Soft/Creative Director, AlwaysMe).

On the first segment, they talk about the challenges doing business in Nigeria and how to navigate some of them.

The Chick Chat Hot Topic of the day is “My Money is My Money”. Here, a woman inherits £100,000 cash, property in England and Nigeria from her deceased father. Her husband has assumed this money is for “We” and asked for either the money or property as collateral to invest in his ‘New’ business. Is she selfish if she says no? Could this come back to bite her if she says no? Should women be smarter about their money before giving it to “a man”?

It is our money o. That is why the process of getting married needs the guidance of a supernatural God. You can’t commit to marriage using your common sense only You don’t know tomorow.
