Visiting the Pine Forest, Palm Wine & Abacha! Dodos shares her Enugu Memoirs in her March Highlights Vlog

Lifestyle vlogger and professional makeup artist Dodos Uvieghara popularly known as IamDodos, has no become Dodos the traveller! In her new vlog today, she’s sharing highlights of her trip to Enugu with us. She’s also written a short description of her trip below.

Hello Lovelies, its a new month and in my latest vlog I’m sharing my March highlights from spending International Women’s Day with some amazing ladies at a seminar hosted by Google and sharing my views on the impact of YouTube to SME’s.

Most of you already know the nature of my job makes me travel quite often and this time guess where I visited? The Eastern part of Nigeria, Enugu and I can say this is my best trip so far within Nigeria. Enugu is such a beautiful city, the landscape and skyline is amazing, with nicely planted trees that gives some ‘Nairobi vibes’.

Nike Lake

I explored the city with Ian of Tzar, Nikki of NikkieandTees and Chi of OliveTree as we travelled from Enugu to a neighbouring village called Ngow to visit the famous untamed Ngwo Pine Forest, known for its unique array of pine trees. It was such a serene and peaceful atmosphere and a perfect getaway destination for tourists.

I love to try out new things especially food so I set out to eat only local food during my stay. Starting off with Abacha also known as African Salad made with cassava, tomatoes, onions, potash, ugba and cow leg then we finished off with palm wine.

Dancing on the Milking Hills

I hope you enjoy and I wish you an amazing Month of April.

It feels so sad to see our forests go rapidly.
Don’t even know if we have a Botanical garden anywhere in the south East.
A botanical garden will help us preserve herbs/ plants, create employment, enhance tourism and increase our economy.
Hope someone in power in the south east reads this.
Please do something about our fast disappearing forests. Encourage our people to plant trees, in the cities, villages.
If you cut a tree, plant a new one

    Nice vlog, BTW.
