    Adekunle Gold is not an a soul singer, alternative or otherwise. He is an urban highlife or Afro highlife singer. At least you people didn’t use the word ‘crooner’ this time.

    Looks like it was a fun concert. More grease!!!

      your ignorance stinks! Flavour is an example of an afro highlife singer. Because Adekunle Gold sings a couple highlife songs doesn’t make him an highlife singer. Tueh!

      “your ignorance stinks!”

      Really? You couldn’t just state your different opinion, you had to resort to exclamatory remarks? Even had to add ‘tueh’ like I made a disgusting comment. Well, I’m going to ignore your baiting as I don’t think its necessary to get down to word-mudslinging and simply ask you, what genre would you then place Adekunle Gold if he’s not an Urban highlife/Afro highlife singer(don’t know why you seem to think its such a diss to call him one, lol)? @Cynosure.

      Singers I would put in the Afro Soul genre:

      Asa used to dabble in Afro Soul but its not exclusively her genre;
      Aramide started with Afro Soul but she’s been spicing it up;
      what’s the name of that singer who sang ‘Ayo Femi’? She’s Afro Soul;
      Bez would also fall here, I think, and in the alternative side;
      the singer, Adaku is also an Afro Soul singer. And many others I can’t remember at the moment.
