Breaking! President Buhari lands in Nigeria | Photos + Video

President Muhammadu Buhari has arrived Nigeria from London.

Buhari, who arrived at Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport Saturday at about 4.36pm, had spent 104 days in London on medical vacation.

After touching down, the president headed for the presidential lodge to rest for a while before heading to Aso Rock, according to NTA.

The president however, did not inspect the Guard of Honour as scheduled.

Buhari was received by the acting President Yemi Osinbajo. Others present at the airport included Lai Mohammed, Abike Dabiri-Erewa, and Femi Adesina.

A statement released by his media adviser Femi Adesina on Saturday disclosed that Buhari will address the nation on Monday, August 21 at 7AM.

    Enough of this nonsense.
    We need a coup d’etat.
    Soldiers, rise up!

What is this one saying? The same soldiers who abuse defenseless civilians and sabotage the war against Boko Haram to fill their own pockets? Or the ones that gave us OBJ, IBB, Abacha and Buhari?
Fight for the right things and stop saying nonsense.

[email protected] morning. Some of us realised this from day one. Oh well, not everyone is intellectually woke. ARN l hope you slept well while you were in a coma.

He’s literally a dead man with a whole lot of disguise. Good thing he’s feeling better. However, Buhari is not fit mentally, and physically to continue to be president. In few days he will be back in London with the same Bullshit of not being transparent, and his brainless sychophants spewing nonsense or him saying he’s obeying his doctor’s orders. No one said, he shouldn’t treat himself but not at the detriment of the whole nation. This is lawlessness at its highest peak. Nigerians are accustomed to abuse and dysfunctiionality. If Nigerians are deeply ready for change, you will feel and see it. First of all, I don’t believe these so called pastors, christians are sincerely praying. If they are, Nigeria will change, transform truly. I guess, he will rather die in office than resign which is the evil mindset of dictators.

Sai Baba….. the wicked enemies of this country know you have great plans that is why they keep attacking but Gods will would prevail.

He doesn’t have any great plans. He’s clueless, lost, complicit in corruption and is equally an enemy of the country for being stubborn and power hungry. Took me months to realize that.

@Hausa chick aka Madam lauretta who attacked him? Lol at great plan. Do you mean great recessions and repressions? A selfish human being who abandoned millions in worse illnesses for oversea health care.

HausaChick, think beyond ethnicity affiliations for once. Can Trudeau do this? What do you mean by attacking him? You do know this man is 70+ and aging is natural? Nobody poisoned him like your leaders would have you believe.

Kaa bo…hope you are ready to work, to fire some people, to reshuffle your cabinet, to finally listen to all and not just your cronies, to accept you are the leader of ALL Nigeria and not just the north, to talk to Nigerians more frequently and mix with them, to ban fellow herdsmen, to let your wife be and release her to play the role of the mother of the nation, to remove kanu and lock him away for a very long time, to drag diezeni back home, to share the $40Million found in Ikoyi by “direct dash” to all verifiable unemployed youths, to ban and dissolve NYSC, to make FFK, Fayose and Dino disappear
in the middle of the night by this coming weekend, to make Saraki go back to answer for his crimes, to hire Obama to be your Chief Operational Consultant for the next two years so he can guide you on how to be an effective President.

      @ Wale Vintage. … Just a reminder.
You never win by locking the likes of Nnamdi Kanu up! You merely feed the flames by so doing!
In a democracy, you talk to people like Kanu and his followers, then tweak things.
Hunny, this is 2017, not 1907!

I’m just wondering what you will do for an aboki to appreciate you. Nothing, so long you are not bowing head in prayer. GEJ with all his almajiri schools is a good example.

    • Mawi

      August 20, 2017 at 9:46 am

@Diamond, Jonathan was clueless about them abokis, that’s why he lost. See ehn, u have to be an aboki for an aboki to like u. No amount of anything can buy them. Despite all the ways GEJ tried to appease them, they still booted him out. Obasanjo warned him in his open letter. We who grew up in the north know them well, u simply cannot buy an abokis conscience; they are always a united force. Unfortunately, same cannot be said for the rest of us. That’s the simple and only reason why they have enjoyed more power in this zoo nation.
Yet, the rest of you keep calling them dumb. Lol…

He is not back by his own will. Bella you forgot to mention that after the suspension of ResumeorResign by Charly boy, a few great Nigerians did a protest vigil in front of the Abuja House London last night (with backing by the police), thats why he left quickly before the mainstream UK media starts focusing on him.

      August 20, 2017 at 2:00 am

      Thank you @ Fence!
The status quo will remain as long as sycophants remain.

BTW, welcome back President Buhari. You are still my president even though am the only one in my family who didn’t endorse your presidency. Yes, everyone else did including my husband.

Just know that citizens like me have nothing against you. We simply disagree with your ideas and operations. But why should we? No one in my family is a politician and therefore do not need or want your job!

You chose the job, ran several times till you won. Now you have to perform, because millions of lives are at stake.
If for any reason you can’t, the most honorable thing to do is to resign.
I remember going to work years ago, while ill because I didn’t want to be blacklisted.
My colleague told me straight up that I should have the same assignment as everyone else because the organization already counted me as a “number in the staff ratio ” she advised that I should stay home next time if am ill. Boy, did I work like everyone else?
You can not run an organization with ” emotions ” otherwise, you will run it down. Much more a country! !!

PMB is looking frail, he’ll be back in the UK again within the next 30 days.. Still can’t wrap my head around why he wouldn’t step down to take care of his health. The stress of the office is a bit much for a man in his condition, sigh.
Nigeria deserves better, agile and mentally vibrant leader that can navigate the stormy waters now more than ever.

Not attacking the person of PMB, at this juncture I believe he ought to resign because he’s truthfully incapable of finishing this term based on what we have seen so far with his health struggles.
    Wishing PMB a speedy recovery..

To be honest, the second picture makes me feel pity for PMB. I am neither a fan of his personally nor a fan of his govt but I think he needs to step down n go take care of himself. Its such a pity how people can destroy themselves because of power.

When your head of state can leave the country for 3 whole months & then return like nothing happened…no explanation, no apology… then you know you’re in a #failedState
