Nigeria bidding to host the 2019 World Para Powerlifting Championship in Lagos

Lagos State Governor Akinwunmi Ambode has announced that Nigeria is bidding to host the 2019 World Para Powerlifting Championship.

Ambode shared the news on his Instagram after officials of the World Para Powerlifting Organisation visited Lagos to inspect the facilities.

Ambode shared a photo of himself with the lead delegate, Munkley Sam, writing:

Nigeria is bidding to host the 2019 World Para Powerlifting Championships with Lagos as the host city. Officials of the World Para Powerlifting Organisation led by Munkley Sam are presently in Lagos to inspect our facilities.
