FG suspends “Nigeria Air” Indefinitely
The Federal Government has suspended the planned national carrier Nigeria Air indefinitely.
The Federal Government had announced the airline at the Farnborough Airshow in September, with operations expected to resume December.
The Minister of State, Aviation, has however announced that the national carrier has been suspended indefinitely.
He shared the news on his Twitter, writing:
I regret to announce that the Federal Executive Council has taken the tough decision to suspend the National Carrier Project in the interim. All commitments due will be honoured. We thank the public for the support as always.

Nigeria Air was to be private sector-led, with the Federal Government to own not more than 5%.
