WATCH Olasupo Shasore’s TEDxLagos Talk on “The Profound Tragedy of our Stolen Identity”

Former Attorney-General & Commissioner of Justice in Lagos Olasupo Shasore delivered a powerful speech on slavery, colonial rule and the resultant effect on the people at TEDxLagos 2018 in August.

He told the story of Cudjoe Lewis (Oluwale Kosola) and how slavery can lead to a stolen identity and destruction of intangible assets.

He also speaks of the new enemies wreaking the same havoc and warns of the same tragedy repeating itself all over.

That list of new enemies is very conveniently short sir. You forgot to mention the two professions that have written their profession into law, which translates to direct financial benefit for them at the expense of the inalienable rights of human beings.

Abi that one does not count as slavery?

If i’m honest this is not the Ted Talk i expected from a Former Attorney-General & Commissioner of Justice. i was expecting to hear solutions and ideas of how to mitigate infringement on the inalienable rights of human begins for an industry that has no consequences or disincentives for infringing on the inalienable rights of human beings especially in cases of mass casualty disaster like we are facing today.

Even the identity thief logic was strained in placement. Chai, where are our scholars and academics nauw?

Anyways I agree with 77% or more worth in human resource. and yes its only the private sector that can grow any country, or where do you think all the sole called government contracts end up, when they call all those foreigners for business?

Btw the “things” that make people stand great are their inalienable rights. Human beings are high performing when their inalienable rights are not infringed upon.
