‘Coveted Summer Neutrals’- Mataano at 2010 Africa Fashion Week

Just as I was wondering when we were going to see the nudes, Mataano brought them all out in the collection which they showcased on Day 3 of Africa Fashion Week.
Nudes are great for the summer, and can be worn all seasons long; that’s why I’m glad that they presented a refreshing neutral colour palette in addition to blue metallic and soft floral fabrics and print.
The colour palette ensures the collection exudes a lightness to it, emphasized by sheer fabrics, cropped tops, mini skirts, shorts, delicate drapery and casual culottes, but we also have a few heavy pieces; the metallic cocktail dresses, pencil skirts and waistcoats.

Very pretty and wearable.
I would think the whole idea of African fashion week would be to have an african influence of the style being showcased, I am sorry i dont see that. Nothin exciting, the cloths just look retty ordinary and quiet western
