New Music: Muma Gee – Port Harcourt Is Back
Posted on Friday, February 24th, 2012 at 3:47 PMBy Onos O
Muma Gee, more popularly known for her song “Kade” has managed to keep a low profile of late. She has returned this year from her hiatus, not only with a wedding band on her finger but with another song in her typical Africana style.
The musician/actress, Muma Gee, who just got married in December to her long time sweetheart, Prince Eke hasn’t taken long to get back in the swing of things with music.
On “Port Harcourt Is Back”, Muma Gee takes a journey to her homeland and attempts to take her listeners as well, telling a story with metaphors how it lost its verve and has finally returned to a worthy status.
“Port Harcourt Is Back” is a song full of praises for the city where she is from and all those who have helped rehabilitate it back to “Garden City” status once again. To her, its more than just a song… it’s an ode of pride. The video was directed by Prince Eke. Enjoy!

Muma G!!!How was the moon?
http://www.personalstuvs.blogspot.com
The marriage of a man and introduction of him into your brand/career is the beginning of your downfall.. When muma G came out with kade, a lot of people had hope…fresh, original and striking resemblance with Angelique Kidjo which was very appealing..now..Port harcourt is back??? Like seriously???
eazzie i agree kade was so appealling and fresh this is a carriture of her former self seriously stick to the kade route abeg live politics
An artist of international quality trying hard to make her self a local talent, but her voice is so good that its hard not hear that her voice is golden.
She should leave politics and continue to build her brand as an African queen. She has the
voice and the personality to do that.
abeg portharcourt really needs dis song, dat land is dry!
I’ve never heard this woman sing, so was curious to hear what she sounds like since I’ve only heard of her through red carpet events and her wedding. I stopped it 58 seconds in, after waiting long enough to hear something besides “Port Harcourt is back.” Angelique Kidjo?? Insulting to that musical gift to compare her to this…this….I don’t even have words to describe this woman or her music.
wth??????
omo portharcourt no come back o, what were you thinking, like seriously….
headache inducing song
I think she is trying to do something similar to DUncan MIghty’s PH 1st son which saw him being called for every political event in PH more or less. Unfortunately this is not catchy. I wish her well tho. She should stick to songs like Kade and tht Ekpeye song she sang. Even the palmwine song was great too. Seeking political relevance can pay a musician, but one should not be so desperate as to take a nosedive in the quest for money from politicians
muma gee abeg carry goo…..ur d best forever….p.h ….p.h is indeed back
