A new movie starring Big Brother Africa All Stars Winner Uti Nwachukwu alongside Nollywood veteran Alex Usifo is set to hit the cinemas this weekend.
Did we forget to mention that model actors Alex Ekubo, Bryan Okwara and Kenneth Okoli are also on the cast list?

According to the producer Elvis Chucks, “The movie (True Citizens) is one all youth in Nigeria must watch as it reflects the spirit of the true citizens who can make it through dint of hardwork instead of all the illegal business.
He added that insipiration for the movie came from what youth in Nigeria are going through and “one can survive without soiling one hands and against all odds.”

The movie also features Clara Iweh, Melvin Oduah and Claret Onukogu. Check out on-set photos and the trailer below.

      • Omada March 16, 2012 at 6:38 PM

errrr….its possible to like someone’s friends and not like the person. and y’all need to retire the words ‘hater’ and ‘hating’, its overused.

    • mabel March 15, 2012 at 2:10 AM

please guy this isnt about favorite or hunk or blood b4 gunshot or what not.. frm the synopsis it is important that the message is passed because youths really need to be motivated! cos the way naija is going..i fear for the next generation..so abeg lets focus on the morel lessons and not the actors / directors abilities please.

I make a conscious effort not to watch anything with Uti in it. So i will be skipping this one.
By the way, Bryan is not an actor by any stretch of the imagination. If all we do is cast all these fine boys, what will happen to folks who spend years learning theatre arts in unis and have genuine talent for acting and have horned their skills?

      • Aibee March 15, 2012 at 9:17 AM

My sentiments exactly. Haven’t seen the movie yet, neither have I seen the trailer. But I wonder if its about good acting or about’eye candy’.

      • Lue March 15, 2012 at 10:20 AM

my thoughts too. theres more to acting than good looks and fame
@mabel, really? u sure ure not one of the cast?

I agree completely! This film looks rubbish. The acting is poor, they always select the best parts of a film for the trailer, so if those scenes were the best that this film has to offer i wont even bother watching! I totally agree with you about those who have genuine talent, as an aspiring actress myself i understand this struggle all to well.

My only regret is that Alex Usifo-Omiagbo is in this movie. Waste of a talented actor.

    • mimi March 15, 2012 at 9:05 PM

uti is a good actor and he is fine! end of!

    • johnson March 16, 2012 at 1:18 AM

Haters are gonna hate ballers are gonna ball. anyone who insults any cast member of this film is just a struggling talentless enetrtainer that is filled with so much jealousy and bitterness. instead of calling them names, why not pray to God to help you succeed, instead of bringing curses upon urself for bearing false witness..SMH this is why Nigeria is NOT getting better..because the new Generation is far worse than the Old generation!..here is a good cause and all I can read is bad comments and prejudice!..Theres no way im coming back to raise my Children in this country! Bella Please stop approving some comments! there are giving a really SICK impression of Nigerian citizens! besides, where are the so called fans? how come its only haters that come here and disss these hard working young talented men..SMH…GOD HELP HOPELESS BEEFERS AND HATES
