Caroline Danjuma

Two words – Red Hot! Ex- Nollywood actress Caroline Danjuma is presently in Berkshire, UK for this year’s Royal Ascot – the world’s most famous racecourse with a history of horse racing spanning 300 years taking place today, Friday 22nd June 2012.

The yummy mother of 2 cute boys shares with us a photo of her outfit just before she heads to the race course. In line with the strict rule of Royal Ascot which states that every female attendee must wear a dress of modest length with hats, Mrs Danjuma looks gorgeous in a red knee length dress accessorized with a sleek black belt, pearl earrings and necklace, red pumps and an Avant-garde black and white hat.

I think she looks super fab, what’s your take on her look? P.S, tickets to the Royal Ascot cost £71 (That’s about N 17, 750)

      • TobechiDaniel June 22, 2012 at 4:31 PM

It is possible to have two kids and look as good as she does. Exercise and diet and the watch words. Just because it is a given in Nigeria for some ladies to have babies and get all fat and flabby. it is NOT ideal. Get up and get moving:).

      • Gimmer June 23, 2012 at 12:11 AM

if wishes were horses….abeg its not that easy for a full-bloodied mom/wife/working woman to snap her fingers and become lepa just like that. perhaps if you can persuade caroline to share her man with some of, we can all look lepa like her. *wink wink*

    • Gimmer June 23, 2012 at 12:08 AM

levels dey…lagos bigs gels dey dress up go album launch party, caroline danjuma dey dress up go royal ascot

      • bukioni June 23, 2012 at 9:23 PM

Caroline Danjuma is a very classy, poised and monied lady but cut the Lagos big gehs some slack, tickets to Royal Ascot are a fraction of the cost of the Brazilian and Peruvian weave.
Caroline looks fabulous very appropriate for the new Royal Enclosure dress code. She did play it safe though. Royal Ascot is one of those occasions where you can be really adventurous with your headwear. Loads of ladies strolling around in beautifully crafted Stephen Jones and Philip Treacy creations – it really is a milliner’s dream occasion.

    • L.A Chick June 23, 2012 at 3:57 AM

    • Olivia June 24, 2012 at 1:33 PM

She looks divine: elegant, stunning and stylish! Naija so called ‘big gals’ of the flabby, razz-looking, totally not toned, body baring attires pls take note: you can all clean up good and look sexy without showing all your ‘stuff’. @ Hooplah, I actually think her natural, seemingly ‘no-bra’ looks works great with the style of the dress sota like Halle Berry’s bra look, besides that overly firm bra, with everything pointing straight look like say na silicon enhanced no dey in vogue again…lol but i respect ur opinion sha….so no take am personally.

    • Ify June 24, 2012 at 6:22 PM

Pls that ticket fee u just mentioned is a let down, too cheap. I was there trust me nd a seat in one of the boxes in the royal enclosure is 700pounds, while some are 2,000pounds. If she paid just 71pounds, the I guess she didn’t even come close to the main thing. P.s, though I didnt pay any of d fees either, but I was there working as a Waiter in one of the £2,000 boxes, so. Knw wat am sayin.

      • bukioni June 24, 2012 at 9:46 PM

Babe never under estimate the spending power of Lagos big gehs. One of my family friends came to buy weave on for some of her clients in Naija, she asked me to take her to take her to Funmi Hair, I was like “Funmi Hair, where’s that?”. When I saw the prices, I was like whoah, £600 for 1 bundle of 24 inch weave on. And you know Lagos babes like to pile on it with about 4 bundles and the longer the better. That’s when I realised that they ain’t called ‘big gehs’ for nothing, those chicks are balling hard.

        • Sidney June 25, 2012 at 8:13 AM

Balling hard with 3 1/2 packs of 24 inches and fakes lashes with blue and gold eyeshadow, and color block outfits? That is why many Nigerian women in Nigeria look like RuPaul or drag queens. All of that South American and Caribbean carnival costume in that heat? Then when they take all the load off, you wonder whether they are the same people. Don’t alter your look, enhance your look.

    • Sidney June 25, 2012 at 8:16 AM

      She’s slim. I like!

    • Seun June 25, 2012 at 8:44 AM

def looks fab after 2 kids? not fair jur, great genes and PS she a natural slimmie so in her case its not diet and exercise. some women r just blessd with a slim physique dats all.
Its also a great plus for her dat she married into money sha

    • Naveah June 25, 2012 at 2:42 PM

She looks fabulous! Money like milk does the body good. I wouldn’t call her hat “avant garde”, it is not really that out of the box, I have seen more eccentric, out there hats at the Kentucky Derby here in the States.

    • Chichi June 25, 2012 at 3:52 PM

Shes not that slim though.. Any woman can look like this after kids. Not a big deal

      • Babe June 25, 2012 at 6:33 PM

Are you going to call her thick? She’s slim. Yes, any woman will look as big as a house if she exercises and changes her diet after giving birth. Having kids changes your body and you work hard to get back in shape. Even when you haven’t given birth, your body changes as you grow older.

    • Odior June 25, 2012 at 4:03 PM

      this is so classy…….

    • Naveah June 25, 2012 at 9:52 PM

@ Chichi – Please give credit where credit is due…the camera puts on 10lbs on any subject that stands before it. If this is not slim to you then I don’t even want to see what slim is…do you want her to look like Funmi Iyanda before you consider her slim? And the latter is abnormally skinny herself. This woman is a size 4/6 from what I can tell, she looks excellent!

And NO ma’am, not every woman can look this good after two children, sorry because if that was the case, we wouldn’t have some the women we have walking around the world that can’t shake the baby weight even after one child talkless of two. Look at Omotola Jalade Ekeinde, she looks great for having had four kids but is she as slim as CKD? No! I say that to say, you can’t make such an absolute comment that ANY woman can look as good as CKD after child birth. Caroline Ekanem Danjuma looks the way she does due to three things (1) genetics – she has always been slim (2) she has the time and money to pay for a trainer as well as keep up with a gym routine, and to eat properly. (3) she has the will power to follow through with her gym routine and diet.

Abeg, when person done do well, make we hail am jare and Caroline don try!

    • ajiri June 26, 2012 at 12:35 AM

Another celebrity who could have put a Nigerian designer on the world stage but choose to give her audience more of the same. No question about it, she looks fantastic but why is she not in a Nigerian design? Is it that Deola Sagoe or Tiffany Amber or Lanre Da Silva etc., etc. would not have done her justice?

    • jane bee June 26, 2012 at 1:59 PM

nawa, what does know about Ascot? cut that shit out, what the bid deal

    • Chichi June 27, 2012 at 8:29 PM

Our standards in Nig are just low. She does look great and yes is slim. All i’m saying is it should not be out of the ordinary for a woman to look like this after 2 kids. Not like she’s in a bikini, so why shouldnt she look good in a knee length fitted dress? and Yes I have had two kid and I lost all the weight too. Its hard but very doable.

    • my beat June 27, 2012 at 9:40 PM

@Chichi, you just want to rub the shine off the lady, why? Accept that whoever God has blessed, is blessed. The lady is blessed genetically (she’s even half-caste), financially & so on.
Pls upload your own pix & leave us to judge.

    • Naveah June 28, 2012 at 1:38 PM

      @ Chichi

You are obviously not getting the point, ChiChi. The tone of your initial post was very disdainful and you said she wasn’t THAT slim but now you agree without qualifying that she is slim. It isn’t extraordinary that she looks good for having had two kids but don’t forget that it is only of recent, with our generation that women are beginning to believe in going to the gym and eating in a healthier fashion. Women of our grandmothers and mothers generation didn’t have time for any of those things, they had their babies, some binded their bellies to get back in shape, some snapped back better due to genetics etc so in a sense, it is kinda complementary for a woman to shake that weight off and still be sexy after years of marriage and kids because in our society it wasn’t exactly encouraged for a long, long time! Married women who were mothers were supposed to look a certain way and single ladies looking for a ring where supposed to look another way, heck, it’s reflected heavily in our movies! Married women wear up/down, bubu and single girls wear jeans, sexy tops etc.

ALL THIS IS TO SAY – nobody’s standard here is low, we are all give her props because yes she does look good and NO, the average Nigerian woman doesn’t look this good unless genetics is on her side, or if she be villa women, she dey waka dey hawk goods or farming which is a work out in and of itself and/or she has some money. Just give the woman her due respect.

    • Chichi June 28, 2012 at 2:33 PM

Isnt she an actress? So in my opionon it should be normal for her to look this way. Look at Halle Berry, Heidi Klum, Jennifer Lopez, Kourtney Kardashian, beyonce etc. All i’m saying is yes she’s slim but she SHOULD be slim. It is not a big deal.. I admit she looks good but its not a miracle, a big deal or impossible.

    • Naveah June 28, 2012 at 6:55 PM

Actually no, she is no longer an actress. She wasn’t much of one to begin with, I would classify her now as a socialite. And again, I beg to differ with you, my sister and say yes, it is a big deal because it ain’t easy for everyone to lose weight. There are many actresses in Nollywood who had babies and didn’t shake off the baby weight, Eucharia Anunobi is one.

    • libra July 2, 2012 at 9:47 AM

      She is theNigerian victoria beckham.

    • Invisible July 4, 2012 at 7:47 AM
