It’s time for another edition of BN Pick Your Fave.
To kick off the month of August in style, BN is going BIG by showing you two TV presenters Michelle Dede and Eku Edewor as well as model and fashion journalist Yomi Abiola and TV Star Adora Oleh, battle it out for your fave in dresses by Nigerian label Grey.

Our BN Glam Cam, first spotted MTN Family Game Show co-presenter Michelle Dede in this cobalt blue maxi dress at the Sail Harbour 1st Annual Fundraising Charity Dinner at the Eko Hotel & Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos.
Michelle who tossed her hair to side, chose to accessorize the frock from Grey’s Dimensional Collection displayed at the 2011 Lagos Fashion and Design Week with gold earrings, belt, flower ring and bracelet. Michelle also complimented her look by opting for the same colour of eye shadow and finished the look with a smile.
Ever since the highly entertaining show 53 Extra debuted on M-Net Africa, its co-presenter Eku Edewor has been dazzling all on every red carpet she’s spotted on. On Friday 18th November 2011 at the Miss Nigeria 2011 Red Carpet Finale, Eku stunned all in the same frock as Michelle. Eku accessorized her dress with a gold chain with a teddy bear pendant, gold ring, wrist watch and clutch bag. We are not picking our fave yet but when Eku stepped on the red carpet, she gave the dress a playful twirl.

Adora Oleh & Yomi Abiola in Grey
Next on our Pick Your Fave list, is the ever smiley co-host of MTN Project Fame West Africa and the Adora Oleh Show – Adora Oleh and Nigerian Model/Contributing Editor for Vogue Italia Yomi Abiola in another Grey stunner.
We first sighted Adora Oleh in this dress at the launch of the Royal Collection by Folake Majin on Sunday 20th November 2011 at the Civic Centre, Victoria Island, Lagos. Adora went minimal with her look, she accessorized the dress which hugged her silhouette with diamond encrusted earrings with a green stud and black pumps.
The 2012 edition of the Arise Magazine fashion week saw in attendance some of the biggest names in African fashion including designers, models and editors. On Day Two of the fashion show, our BN radar spotted Nigerian-International model Yomi Abiola in the same Grey frock as Adora. Yomi who is also a contributing editor for the almighty Vogue Italia, looked all glam by accessorizing the dress with a diamond stud, black shades, a locker bracelet, gold ring, Chanel bag and blue heels.
We think both ladies, look gorgeous but who do you think wore Grey better?

I love the fact that Michelle wore a belt to accentuate her waist. Makes the dress much more feminine. I’m sorry but I don’t like the shoes that Yomi wore with the dress. I think it takes away from the dress. Also, her bag is a little too casual, especially in that color. It’s a dressy, dress.

Dresses don’t always have to be TIGHT to be a great fit! And this dress by Grey does not need a belt… it’s supposed to flow the way Eku is wearing it.

With the short dress, the ‘contenders’ are facing directions and we since we cannot even see the front of Yomi’s dress how are we suppose to rate them? With the long dress, i go with Eku Edewor.The dress look effortless and very chic on her.Michelle’s look is too contrived and the gold belt looks quite misplaced since it is not sitting on the seam line.
They all look fab,beautiful woman out there,for thoes of you saying Eku need boob to rock som outfit,SMH.with a little touch of belt,it would have look better.I have always look forward to Adora oleh,suprised that someone look taller than her.it all good

Without a doubt Eku and Yomi. Everything must not be worn with a belt. I was shocked to see the other lady had more votes, though not surprised as 9ja chics are fans of belts even with night gown and iro and buba as is it is going out of fashion. They both look good but Eku’s look is pure class, a lot of BN fans may not understand it.

I think overall, Eku rocked the dress better, what with her flawless makeup and hairdo. It looked a bit tacky on Mitchelle. The hairdo, makeup and belt+belt color just didn’t werk 4 me. As for the other dress, neither Adora nor Yomi did it 4 me. But if I had 2 take a pick, it would be Adora. You really can’t go wrong with simple elegance.
Eku and Adora. It is fair to say that my tastes are less Nigerian (check out the poll. Wow!) Can’t envisage long dress, long weave, belt, make up etc

Eku’s style gives the dress a whimsical feel that symbolizes the effortlessly chic. In other words, CLASS!
Yes, Kiki N. Eku wore the dress better in my opinion. Her styling gives the dress more character and it shows that she went for comfort but still chic. Her body type/size allows her wear it with or without a belt. More women will wear a belt and make the dress look more “pretty” and that is what Michelle has done. Both styling just show their different personalities and I prefer Eku’s point of view.
Yomi killed it with her hair. I love her styling too.

Can someone please tell that gal Eku that slimimg down too much looks bad. Please gal, try to eat. It will do you some good,and bring out your beauty more, so you can look nicer in your clothes.
This is an ignorant statement. Go and educate yourself, Anonymous. If you knew better,no one would tell you that women come in different shapes, sizes, heights etc.
Are you going to say Aki +PawPaw (Don’t know their real names) are responsible for being small? So are you going to say that every skinny woman starves herself? Keep advising people to add more fat so that they can look more “beautiful”. The most important thing is for one to be happy and comfortable with whatever they like- for me as long as you are healthy.
The poll btwn Eku and Michelle is biased almost as if BN wants us to pick a person in particular.

Just because it was worn with a belt on the runway does not mean it should be worn with one off the runway. Eku’s look screams high fashion!
