BN Style stars, it’s time for another edition of BN Red Carpet Fab!
Women need one another and once in a while, it is important they get together to celebrate themselves. That was the aim of the Women Celebrating Women Conference on Saturday 15th June 2013 at the Eko Hotel & Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos.
Although some gentlemen including Praiz, Jay Jay Okocha, Efe Tommy and Musa Danjuma were in attendance, it was the women that stole the show in their stylish outfits.
American singer/TV host Dionne Warwick as well as Tiwa Savage, Waje, Toolz, Caroline Danjuma, Toke Makinwa, Niyola, Justina, Yemi Alade, Tomi Odunsi, Chee, Seyi Shay, Osas Ighodaro and Yvonne “Vixen” Ekewere were all invited to the event.
Fashion icon Coco Chanel said ” A girl should be two things – Classy and Fabulous” and since it was an event celebrating women, take a look at what they wore.
BN Red Carpet Fab: Women Celebrating Women Conference in Lagos
Rising singer Tonye Garrick chose a polka dot wrap dress for the event. With her hair swept to her left shoulder, she accessorized with a red necklace, gold earrings, gold bracelets, a black clutch and pink sandals.
There were lots of smiles on the red carpet and TV personality Stephanie Coker‘s wasn’t one to miss. Draped in a black paisley knee length dress with extra blue fabric, she accessorized with gold stud earrings, a gold necklace and black strap heels.
Her look was completed with curly ombre locks and red lipstick.
Tinsel actress Osas Ighodaro smiled on as she posed for the BN cameras in a simple neon knee length dress. Rocking a bob, she styled the dress with a statement neck piece, a gold ring and wrist watch, an ivory bag and blue pumps.
Songstress Seyi Shay wore a rich purple satin one shoulder blouse with electric black pants. A cute fringe, gold hoop earrings, peep-toes and gold jewelry completed the look.
EME first lady Niyola sparkled as she made her way into the Eko Hotel & Suites, Lagos for the event in a spaghetti strap grey sequined mini dress. Silver bracelets and heels completed the look.
Chee attended the event in a wine mini Virgos Lounge party dress featuring multi-coloured beaded and sequin encrusted shoulder detail. She styled the dress with gold bracelets, a white wrist watch and black ankle strap heels.
Her look at the event seemed effortless. Her blue strapless romper was accessorized with a gold belt, cream heels and bag.
Can anyone identify her for us? She gave us a hint of glam. Her sheer black blouse was styled with a blue printed skirt, gold jewelry, a black clutch and black heels.
Ladies in Pants
American singer/TV show host Dionne Warwick who was one of the many invited guests, wore a blue paisley jacket with black pants to the event. She completed the look with gold stud earrings, a silver bracelet and black shoes.
Flower Girl actress Damilola Adegbite made us smile in her androgynous look. The starlet who recently celebrated her 28th birthday party, rocked a pixie cut which gave her a more edgy look.
She styled her white blazer and black-and-white striped pants with silver earrings, a gold necklace, gold and silver jewelry and black heels.
Making a statement in a red leather jacket, she rocked it with a black sequined camisole, red cowboy pants, a black bag and a pair of black heels.
Must See Looks
It’s Toolz. The Nigerian media personality wasn’t one to miss at the Women Celebrating Women conference in a light blue chiffon dress. With her dark locks cascading down her shoulders, she styled the dress with drop earrings, a white belt to accentuate her figure, pink sandals and a yellow clutch.
Was it the dress, her smile or the red carpet diva attitude? Either way, she was one of the best looks at the event.
Nigerian chanteuse Tiwa Savage opted for an all white ensemble. Her backless white jumpsuit which features oversized sleeves and flared pants, was styled with silver drop earrings, a diamond ring, a gold bracelet and a sparkly clutch.
Her look was completed with a chic up do, smoky eyes and a Gothic dark pout.
There weren’t many red carpet hits for men at the Women Celebrating Women conference but Praiz didn’t disappoint. The music star wore a dark grey suit, a pink shirt and black shoes.
For music star Waje, it was all about accentuating one of her most famous assets – her killer figure. Rocking a black studded gown with an A-line skirt, she accessorized with gold drop earrings, a selection of jewelry and red peep toes. Her long locks and nude lipstick finished the look.
On-air-personality Omoye “Brownie” Uzamere showed up at the event in a blue gown but it was her choice of accessories that made it a must see look. She opted for a black fascinator, beads for her neck and a purple-and-red clutch.
Gents in Suits
Rising music act Yemi Alade arrived at the event in a one shoulder Ankara party dress. Opting for wavy locks, she accessorized with drop earrings, gold rings, a gold bracelet and pink sandals. Her look was completed with highlighted eyebrows and pink lips.
Beauty entrepreneur Opral Benson was also at the star studded event. She styled her black long sleeve top with an Ankara skirt, a multi-coloured neck piece, a selection of gold jewelry as well as a snakeskin green tote and green heels.
This male attendee stood out in his simple white outfit, red traditional hat and dark shades.

TV star/musician Tomi Odunsi was billed to perform at the event. She opted for a black jacket, a black-and-white striped blouse and black leggings. She accessorized with silver drop earrings, a red clutch and silver pumps.
On-air-personality Olisa Adibua also went with a casual getup for the event. He wore a black round neck shirt, jeans and converse.
Nigerian aesthetic specialist Vivian Oputa threw on a white blazer and jeans for the event. Gold hoop earrings and a black clutch finished the look.
7 Shades of Blue
Blogger Tosin Ajibade chose a blue satin frock which features a lace neckline. She accessorized with gold drop earrings and light brown heels.
For a full-on lady like look, you can’t go wrong with lace and this is an example. Her gown was styled with gold earrings and a pink clutch.
Her on-trend blue jumpsuit was accessorized with a denim clutch and gold heels. Simple with a hint of glam, what do you think?

TV personality Yvonne “Vixen” Ekwere brought her va va voom red carpet effect in an all black outfit at the event on Saturday evening. Her long sleeve backless dress was paired with black pumps and clutch as well as silver drop earrings.
TV personality Efe Tommy arrived in a double breasted blazer, jeans and black shoes.
Nigerian media star Toke Makinwa paired her LBD with a black clutch and blue heels. Opting for wavy locks and pink lipstick, she completed her look with matching silver-and-black earrings and necklace.
Designer Kunbi Oyelese of April by Kunbi took to the red carpet in one of her pieces. The button-up lace dress which features a fringe skirt and a black sash with diamond detailing, was styled with silver drop earrings, a silver clutch and heels.
Make-up artiste Joyce Jacob was also seen in one of the night’s famous colours.
