Portraits by Lakin Ogunbanwo
Nigerian artist and photographer Lakin Ogunbanwo will light up South Africa with his solo art exhibition tagged “Portraits”. The event kicked off yesterday Wednesday 20th November 2013. In “Portraits”, Lakin Ogunbanwo constructs singular images, reconfiguring the human figure and challenging some preconceived ideas of portraiture, of Lagosians, of Nigerians, of Africans. It will be his first solo show in South Africa.

Ake Arts & Book Festival 2013
On Tuesday, the Ake Arts & Book Festival 2013 kicked off at the June 12 Cultural Centre, Ogun, and will run till this Sunday.
