The 2nd edition of Club Bar and Restaurant (CBR) Awards is rebranded and now introduced as The Restaurant Awards.
For the first time in Nigeria’s history, the establishments in the nightlife and hospitality industry was rewarded and celebrated for their impact and contribution to our community.

The Club Bar and Restaurant (CBR) Awards 2012 which took place at the Landmark Village Events, Victoria Island, Lagos on Wednesday 12th December 2013 showed appreciation to the players in the industry that exceed expectations of service, atmosphere, food and drink quality, presentation, customer service, and overall customer experience. The establishments that stood out above the rest were awarded. The event also brought all the key decision makers together.

This year, the innovative brand is now focusing more on the culinary and hospitality sector by introducing new award categories to recognize owners/operators, chefs, restaurateurs and hoteliers. According to Ola Alabi, the Creative Director “The Restaurant Awards will hold every two years to give room for new establishments to open, to gain ground, improve and prove themselves to the community. The two year interval will give the organizers the time to plan, manage and reach all personnel and establishments in the sector, across Nigeria.”

The Restaurant Awards will also recognize Bars and Lounges that serves good food and provide an excellent customer experience. Welcome to the new beginning.

A press conference was held on Thursday 26th of September 2013 at the Avenue Suite, Victoria Island Lagos to announce the nominees of the major award category and newly integrated voting system (Flash2Follow) by Vconnect.com. Those who have made the nominee list have all demonstrated a remarkable level of achievement in their category and they all deserve to be on the list.
