I think beauty pageants are really silly but I luv them……
Anyway, Tienepre Alexandra Oki was 1st runner-up in this year’s “Most Beautiful Girl in Nigeria” pageant.
She will be representing Nigeria in the Miss Universe 2006 pageant.
LMAO @ the answers these beauty queens give to interview questions…..
Excerpt from her Miss Universe Interview:

Name one person other than your parents who has had the most influence on your life. Why?
Dr. J. I. Ingboude, my family doctor. He helped in bring me into this world and has always been there for me since then.

The pageant takes place on the 23rd of July 2006. Hope she does well!

What do you think? Are they pretty? Does Miss Nigeria stand a chance? Are beauty pageants daft and a waste of time?

All the girls are foine!!! Miss Ethiopia and Zambia are H-O-T…. WOW!!!

I think Miss Nigeria is fine too but it’s not only about looks is it? It’s about all those extra things they do during the pageant/competition. Good Luck to her 🙂

Nigeria just doesn’t look good. In fact, all the girls look the same, except Zambia. Her pose is more classy and original. Ugh Ugh I hate to say it, but apart from Zambia (and maybe South Africa), I find the rest of them unnerving (bordering on revolting). And the hair…why do they all have the same hair? is that the only hair style africans can come up with – long and wavy.

The girls are all good looking. Miss Ghana has a ‘strong’ face I definitely don’t think you can say any of theme are ‘revolting’ wetin?

Anyway well done Bella you are a breath of fresh air on the Naija blogging scene.

I have to say I agree with everchange about the hair. From the pictures I see on this page, they all look like a bunch of girls dressed up to look alike.

I dont think pagents are silly. All depends on how you look at it. Some titles make no sense and some are for a good cause.

About pagents being silly puleese!i was a pagent winner in sec school n if anyone had told me it was silly i would have sliced their head off their shoulders!

but seriously, pagents showcase womens beauty and gives them d opportunity to help their community although i agree with mari some of dem make no sense

I think all the ladies are stunning! They are just naturally beautiful women who don’t look like they are mixed with anything. Just as close to it that you can get anyway. Everybody thinks if you are light skinned and mixed that you are automatically pretty and that is not the case. All of these dark skinned sisters are pretty-look deeper than the skin, look at their features.
