Samsung’s rewarding naija customers with okada bikes didn’t come as a surprise at all.Samsung has been shipping sub-standard galaxy phones to Africa and that’s why while the galaxy S2 is sold for over 120000 naira in Dubai, it is sold for just 99000 naira in Nigeria. While the Europian version of galaxy s2 T-mobile comes with powerful 1.4 ghz cpu, 4.5″ screen,42 mbps HSDPA and 5.76 mbps HSUPA and the latest android operating system “ice cream sandwich” etc, the African galaxy s2 has just 1.2 ghz cpu, 4.3″ screen size, 21 mbps HSDPA and runs android gingerbread 2.3 os. This accounts for the lower prizes of samsung high-end mobile phones in Nigeria which is very unacceptable. We must stand against mobile phone discrimination by Samsung to save our country. I understand they are planning the same thing for the galaxy note, a powerful mobile tablet that Nigerians may not enjoy its powerful operation.
