The last time we caught up with Ghanaian actress/entrepreneur Yvonne Nelson, she was alongside her friend and colleague Mercy Johnson as the chief bridesmaid at her wedding.

As we mentioned a few months ago, Yvonne has been working hard to develop her brand and entrepreneurial ventures. She has developed a line of lace front wigs and a clothing store for women.

Check out her new promo shots!

Yes, those wigs are ghastly! Especially the blond one. I am still scratching my head trying to figure out how African females were so easily duped into hating themselves so much that they will pay to wear an Indian woman’s hair or hair hats that look like anything BUT the unique hair they were blessed to have. Hardly “Queen of LIfe, MOther of all living, first to be here” thinking. BLACK WOMEN AROUND THE WORLD, your own hair is free! And beautiful! Take care of it! Get to know it!

Yvonne nelson in my opinion is a very stunning woman, love love her shoes. Being a tall woman who wears heels, only goes to say she is confident with her body, but dear God the make up and ridiculous weaves are a big NO NO!

I agree that Yvonne is a beautiful lady but whoever did her make up should have used concealer to cover the spots on her face and chest area. Thats the whole idea of make up, just saying!

Is she modeling lace wig or her body. If lace wig be these one I see here then I’d rather not wear them. The one I have on my head now got me thinking that now I know why God gave long hair to the whites and short to the blacks. That hair makes one sweat a lot.

If black people stop trying to bleach their African features away and putting chemicals in our hair, poisoning it and frying it, more of us would have long hair. My hair is long, though coiled and kinky in texture. NO chemicals. Yes, the European needed a longer mane to hang down and cover it from the cold and icy winds and harsh weather…we come from warm, sunny climates.. our cloud is to protect our head from the sun and conduct its energy! TAKE THE WIG OFF AND BE FREE! YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL WITH WHAT THE MOST HIGH GAVE YOU.

@Julit, lol @ no to the lace wig. Truly lace wigs are horrible and should not be worn especially in a climate like ours. Almost all the ladies wearing them look the same. Stand out and dare to be different. Stick to braids and cornrows.
