People loving this collection is proof once more that beauty is relative and is in the eye of the beholder. I was expecting to see ‘epic fail’ splattered all over the comments section but I m seeing a few ‘likes’. To each his own sha. I try not to ever say anything negative about people’s work but sorry, this is just wrong on so many levels. Maybe I just don’t understand the concept.

I’m sorry but you said winter right? Last time i checked, she/he is African and the majority of her audience are equally African right? How many African countries have winter. Don’t call me ignorant just yet…..Kanye West had his winter collection and it was with loads of fur and leather, now that’s a winter collection. I stand to be corrected though…

All this designer has going for him are some really interesting textiles. Conceptually though, most of these designs are a fail…quite unflattering to the female form and not very imaginative. Moving right along…

Haba! BN my comment wasn’t bad…was my opinion.

    March 10, 2012 at 10:40 pm

She’s a TEXTILE designer. which means it’s all about the fabric DESIGN. like vlisco? get it?

The very first picture did it for me. Even those local Obioma’s that went around my neighborhood looking to fix things for people would do a better job. This is a classic case of picking good fabric to cover up your poor aesthetic. Except in this case, the designer ensured that if we ran into any of the fabrics used here, we’d attempt to burn it.

This is just wrong in so many ways, designers shld be screened b4 even showing of their designs. looks like what i would wear 4 ragday, dis is hardwork showing off rongly.

    March 12, 2012 at 1:37 pm

I like…its nt for everyone bt its generally pleasing to d eye in a native sort of well…d designer was obviously thinking deep African roots wit the sashes, head scarves n all…I wont wear majority of dem bt I get it…

As a texile designer 100% but the actual designs apart from the 6th shirt-dress and the last dress which I ll gladly rock don’t know mehn.. On a side note I may wear the skirt and blouses as seperates omo na to forget print on print trend. Sometimes we need to look beyond what is on the catwalk. Some of the tops can be worn with plain coloured skirt and the skirts with plain blouses or shirts.. Abi?
