Rocking that LBD!
All over the world, the little black dress is one undisputed outfit that no girl can go wrong with if worn rightly. On most BN Red carpet events, we’ve spotted the good, the bad and the ugly. At the Summer Jam Fest with Rick Ross, some of the attendees rocked some stylish and not-so-stylish LBDs, check them out!

More Black!

Cool, Hip & Trendy
They are young, they are hip and are definitely trendy. View some attendees looking fly in their cool outfits.

As WHITE as snow
Yes, white is not only for brides on their wedding day, it is also one colour that makes everyone stand out from the crowd. Check out some of the Must See Looks of attendees in white ensembles.

Dapper Blokes
Ladies get ready to feast your eyes on some of the most dapper men of the night. Watch out George Clooney, Nigerian men are giving you a run for your money.

In touch with my African roots!
Believe it or not, the traditional way of dressing has been giving a whole new look in recent times, with designers showcasing some fab African inspired pieces, almost every one is rocking it in style. View some attendees staying true with their roots.

At the Summer Jam Fest red carpet, some attendees proved that flaunting one’s legs isn’t strictly for celebrities. Take a look at some fashionistas in sexy mini-shorts.

Simple, Casual & Chic
BN spotlights some attendees looking all glam in simple, causal but yet trendy outfits.

Shimmering Ladies!
What better way to light up an event, than looking good in a shiny, sparkly outfit. Check out some attendees in shimmering dresses.

Ludacris ” How low, can you go, how low can you go” – Ok, back to business, mini outfits definitely ruled the night. View some attendees striking poses at the Summer Jam Fest with Rick Ross in mini dresses and skirts.

More Photos!

The man of the night arrived at the Eko Hotel & Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos with his entourage in style. The 36 year old, “God Forgives, I Don’t” star, who was surrounded by lots of security guards, stepped out of a black SUV sporting his signature dark shades, a black round-neck tee, cream shorts and red sneakers.

And it seems Rick Ross would love to key into the Nigerian oil sector’s wealth as he tweeted his plans to join the oil money gang. He said “Officially joining the oil money gang” and followed up with another tweet few minutes later saying “Nigeria is rich with oil. Generational wealth. I need some”

Rick Ross who is already in the United States thanked Lagos for having him and also made reference to Nigerian-American rapper Wale.

And we are pretty sure, he had a fantastic time in Lagos. Check out the photo,  Rick Ross shared on Instagram of him and Germont Jackson lounging on yacht in Victoria Island, Lagos

come on ladies, you know the rule – legs or boobs, never both!
and what is with the silliness of wearing those rather awful “sheer/shiny” tights – a very bad look especially with the heat (n)

amen….. i said the same thing. if u dnt have the body for plz dnt do it. again is about 100 degrees out there, why the boots… lol yall looking like some cartoons…..

      August 22, 2012 at 9:52 pm

Yess ooooo….notin’ dey ‘appen!!! I am done with work for the day and so I have enough time for comment on these guests..

Yvonne tries to hard but she looks good.
Rekana? What are you wearing? Looks like they put her head on a different body.
DJ Caise- Was it cold inside?
      Elohor looks cute.
Annie Macaulay is one of the most natural looking and beautiful female celebrities(Nigeria). She looks like a A pretty bird. But she terribly needs a wardrobe stylist. Those jeans, the belt, and shoes divide her into several parts. She is so beautiful that she doesn’t need to try too hard with her clothes.
Susan Peters is pretty but her ensemble is a mess.
Derenle’s baby sister, Eva Longoria should keep her hair cleaner.
Dammy Krane- Don’t all the young Nigerian singers/ rappers dress like this?
Jumai Shaba- LOL @ that outfit.
This Karen Igho and Olisa Adibua love the red carpet but do not understand that good style is important if you really want to be seen
      WTF is Julian Nnadi wearing?
I want to think that Linda Ikeji was just coming back from a business meeting. I love her still.
I like Becca. I’m not feeling this outfit though but she stands out from the rest of the women in a good way.
Efe tommy with this shark’s fin on his head.
      G-Lory Noooo!!!
Toolz is a beautiful woman. However, she would have looked better if she left that necklace at home, pulled the hair away from her face, and carried a diff color of bag. Less is more. Her look is all over the place.

      August 25, 2012 at 3:50 pm

Preach! those tights are similar to those Beyonce uses on stage to play up her spotless legs look. it’s just not appropriate for the red carpet.

Its truly an abomination….a simple concert turns into a Do or Die affair. So many fashion atrocities…dont even know where to start *sigh*.

I’m gonna blame BN sef! Its because these people know you guys will take pics of them, thats why they dress like this!!! hehe!!

It must be very cold in Nigeria with all the jackets, sweaters(DJ Caise ) and Boots*sarcastic*. Extremely gutted with the way people dress in our country.

  9. Nomy

    August 22, 2012 at 11:26 am

Please eh, am rooting for all the Ladies covering their legs with the tights! All the horrible legs and laps on my screen is totally disgusting. If your thighs are fat, your legs have marks and you are generally not leggy and very slim (all the things am not) keep your body COVERED!

    August 22, 2012 at 11:28 am

  11. Amaaaa

    August 22, 2012 at 11:30 am

Ok first it’s a concert a pair of jeans and a nice comfy top will do . Second what are those kids doing a concert their folks should be ashamed of themselves for exposing their kids. Thirdly can some one tell Lagos girls the dangers of bleaching men are not impressed trust me they are disgusted at women who bleach . Finally if you don’t know what to wear for an occasion just google it trust me you will be amazed at the ton of info on how to dress aproprietly for an occasion

  12. Gimmer

Geez ppl, it’s a rozay concert!! My 9ja ppl too worry, a lot of nicely dressed folks but then you even had more folks dressed like WTF were they thinking when they left their homes looking that way 🙁 ! Some of the attendees must have been in a different climate the way they were dressed i.e DJ caise, his azz must have been burning up in that jacket 🙂

All of these to see Rick Ross! Lagos for show!!!!!!!!!!
I like Barbz, her outfit is perfect for the event!

    • JJ

      August 22, 2012 at 10:31 pm

Yea but he’s too old to show her belly button.. I don;t really like people showing their belly button anyway.

I think this is how females can dress to a concert. It’s a laid back event. Enjoy yourself, dance and leave your Church, dinner, prom, Halloween dresses and “dainty” heels at home. Nigerian women should learn to free themselves and be more expressive. They are living in serious bondage. lol They all look the same. Nigerian men live their lives to the fullest compared to us. Some women looked like they did not move their bodies in their dresses and shoes.

They should use some of the money to work with good stylists. It’s best for Nigerian women to stop spending so much on fake hair that already make them look like clowns. Take care of your skin..especially knees, eat good food, and buy sensible clothes. They look like drag queens.

Nigerian girls meant business. It’s a shame the majority of them missed the mark. This lady however was the best dressed of the night

  56. Zizi

    August 22, 2012 at 2:47 pm

lol!! omg!! Too many funny comments i cant help but laugh.

But to be frank, these days ladies need to learn to dress right for every occasion and not necessarily wearing what every other person is wearing.

Moreover, exposing your whole body dosent make you appear sexy in any way it rather makes you look cheap. For the record, you can be all covered up and still look very sexy.

And Karen?? I reserve my comment for now…

loool, its so funny, whenever there’s a Naija event posting like this one, I always have to scroll back up to remind myself just what the event was about. As in was this a wedding or film premiere, office meeting or barbeque, day out at the beach or prom, chilling at my friends house or night out on the town, just popped out to buy some bread or hot date with boyfie ????? :-~ Cos looking at the random outfits, I ‘m always so baffled! At least ppl are “original” I guess! 🙂

  58. Layo

    August 22, 2012 at 3:00 pm

If I saw all these people outside the event location, I wouldn’t be able to tell they were all going to the same event. I mean the outfits range from full ball gowns down to shorts and tees. I can’t! Nigerians need lessons on dressing appropriately for various events.

    • Nikki

      August 22, 2012 at 5:18 pm

lol, I agree…I think its cos most naija people and women in particular tend to dress for people. Ie they may only be going to the store to buy some biscuits or whatever, but they’d be like, “oh, so and so might be there. I better “baff up” just in case!” lol….that’s y you get such disparities in the dress code. The ” i must carry first”, the ” I must find a bobo tonight”, the ” I’m so cool mehn, they must to notice me tonight” and of course lets not forget the few repping for the ” I dont send” crew

    August 22, 2012 at 3:23 pm

Karen looks Good!! I can’t say same of Susan peters. There’s something about her eyes always looking swollen up like she doesn’t catch any sleep when she knows an event is coming up. Vixen should have tried out some color blocking. All black is officially boring. Elohor Aisien looks effortlessly on point. Miss jaie no try at all…what a mess.

BN …. BeeeHennnuuu. Kai … this has to stop o. First of all 99% of the LBD section were not worn ‘rightly’. OK, I understand and get the urge to post a pic of everyone at the event but seriously, I would think you guys would be more selective with the pics you choose to showcase when it comes to fashion. There are some individuals that put time and effort into understanding what they wear and how to wear what they wear. Then there are other individuals that should not be showcased alongside them. I am by no means a fashion critic but I have to say that most of the time I feel like you guys just post some pics so we can get a good laugh. Or is it just me that feels that all these event pics should have a ‘Too Hot to Handle’ Section and a ‘Call the Fashion Police’ Section? You are confusing the people that look at BN for fashion inspiration o.
That being said … kudos to those that wore it right and dressed appropriately, the rest of you #FAIL.

    *scrolls past Eva Alodia*

Dammy Krane needs a time out.

    Love Juma Shaba’s look.

It’s as if Karen Igho came to seduce Rozay.

Linda, that’s a lovely dress…but the look is too dressy for a “Summer jam” concert.

    Lynxx looks very edible.

We also need to put this Dotun of CoolFM on a timeout.

Terry G, what is going on with that “Gucci” scarf?

    Who the heck is G-lory?

Girl #1 in the LBD category, cute concept babe but this is a concert, not a club.

Those twins in the sequin and sheer foolery, no comment. Where did this one think she was going to? Rozay’s twin bro in training? ????? A HOT AZZ MESS! What exactly is going on here?

I know RT. At first when I saw them, the naija (snob) in me was like “eeww, under dressed or what?!” but then when I scrolled back up and was reminded that the event was actually a summer concert, I had to switch my opinion sharp sharp. They are one of the few who dressed for the occasion, and not for the people and cameras at the occasion

BN u should really stop with all this pic taking becuase it the same thing over and over again, nonsense and rubbish and they too will be smiling as if they are wearing something that is good abeg get out.

Although I agree with you to some extent, not everyone is going to be skinny. Some people are going to be plus sized, that’s just how it is. So please don’t go around saying people need to lose weight. People are created in all shapes and sizes. If they do lose weight, good for them, if they don’t they’re still beautiful. Stop scrutinizing them over how they look. Thank you. x

I wonder y nigerians always wanna make things go a bit out of hand. Some of them don’t even understand that a concert is quite differ from a party or club. Imagine naija girls in a show of shame, dressing almost halve nude to a common concert, I just wonder then how they dress to clubs. Maybe total nudity. Lagos girls ehh…. Always prepared for runs anytime, by d way what r d big hand bags for…. It’s a concert so a small designer purse wud hv done d magic wit simple but smart gowns or tee’s n jeans. I cant stop laughing………. But seriously, its not the fault of the ladies, they buy dresses they dont know where to wear them to and the best place are places like this. At least they’ve tried in their own little way, we’ll get there. Sure they had fun be it good, bad or god-forbid………….. LMAO

Well not too bad guys, personally i think they didn’t put their best foot forward. The mini skirts/gowns should-a been shorter, the colors more blinding, the heels & flats more odious, the pajamas o! sorry pants more loose, the nickers more dora-ish, and those kids should be allowed some booze too, its a holiday experience init? Anyway only folks in denim had balls the rest had complex issues from where my hurting eyes see em. #justSaying
