Guinness Nigeria Cheers the Super Eagles to Victory at AFCON 2013 with the “Fly With The Eagles” Campaign – The Journey So Far

Guinness Foreign Extra Stout recently launched a campaign tagged ‘Fly With The Eagles’. As part of the campaign series, the brand unveiled a series of programs to support this campaign and give football fans and consumers a once in a lifetime experience.

Programs include an all expense paid trip to South Africa for 200 consumers, a world record breaking jersey that toured Port Harcourt and Lagos, a theme song, N100,000 for consumers and other consolation prizes which include authentic super eagles jersey, free drinks and more.

So far at the African Cup of Nations 2013, the Super Eagles are now in the semi-finals. In view of this, Guinness lauds the Super Eagles and pledge their unwavering support to them.

Guinness has justified it’s support in cheering the Super Eagles to victory after beating the Elephants of Cote d’ivoire 2-1 in the quarter finals in South Africa.

Speaking on activities around the ‘Fly With the Eagles Campaign’, Marketing and Innovations Manager, Guinness Nigeria Plc,  Austin Ufomba remarked that  “This feat is a reflection of the good wishes of Nigerians for the Super Eagles at the AFCON 2013“. He further reinforced the commitment of Guinness to encourage massive support for the Super Eagles.

It will be recalled that Guinness Nigeria Plc has been rewarding the Super Eagles with $5,000 for every goal scored during the competition after their first two draws earlier.

The Super Eagles face Mali on Wednesday for their semi- final clash.
