Like are do,but 4 a mother figure I say no.she is a single mother which am nt saying is wrong, but we don’t even knw d father of the child.nt a role model for motherhood or womanhood.dere are beta celebrities dat should be on dat cover.

    • Partyrider May 31, 2013 at 11:00 am

      I hear you…
First, the father of her child is nobody’s business but her and her family.
The mag is on motherhood, she is a mother so she can be on the cover. And who says single mothers are not role models for womanhood and/or motherhood, I take that as an insult to my mother and all single mothers out there especially those that didnt chose to be single mums ,but nevertheless raised amazing kids.
      Have a seat please.

      • TEHEHE May 31, 2013 at 11:14 am

No O! Krappy need to have several seats abeg….Mcheeew. Why so judgemental? :-/

      • Itunu May 31, 2013 at 4:50 pm

you ve just spoken my mind dear..quite unfortunate that some people just open their mouth and say rubbish….its a dream of every woman to raise her kids with their father.but sometimes things dont work out as planned…being a single um is not a curse get a life kappy or what do u call urself..

    • ghgal May 31, 2013 at 11:08 am

Nonsense!…What has motherhood got to do with the identity of the father of a child. The single mothers out there strutting it out daily to push their children up the ladder of society should bow their heads in shame cos according to you ‘the identity of their children’s father is not known’. So that makes them less to represent motherhood or womanhood?!

Do you know the percentage of single mothers out there?? Idiotic Nonsense!!

    • JOJO May 31, 2013 at 11:08 am

Why are you been judgmental and hatefully. Go hug transformer abeg!!! Why are you hating… Single mother or a married to birth and take care of a child is not easy. And by the way am married with 3 kids and i admire her.

    • sexy May 31, 2013 at 12:16 pm

you are so *** for this comment…..if you dont know the father she knows and not obliged to tell you… are you saying cos of that she has no value to teach her child? your likes are the types who stigmatize people in society with your sanctimonious bull yet when we x-ray your life all we find is shit and skeletons….sometimes we make mistakes in life but we can,t let mindsets of myopic entities like your draw us back….

    • ty May 31, 2013 at 12:44 pm

this is an insult to all single mothers out there, r u saying they dont deserve a chance, this is how we behave in dis country and y our country is not growing because of things like this. the father of her baby is nobody’s business, allow d woman to be happy and enjoy, abeg !

    • Nawa OOO May 31, 2013 at 6:54 pm

i agree with you Kappy! single motherhood should not be praised in any way shape or form. unless u and the childs father divorce and are co-parenting. but if you went to go have a child out of wedlock then we might as well turn into African-Americans because you have lost me there

  • Fokasibe May 31, 2013 at 10:48 am

Oga buy me bottom belle coolu my heart eh! ♫♪

  • ehi May 31, 2013 at 10:57 am

i love dis lady..she is just natural..she is my female 2baba!

  • X- Factor May 31, 2013 at 10:58 am

    Nice one !

  • Amy May 31, 2013 at 11:04 am

The lady in the yellow top needs to invest in a good padded bra. Im busty as well and i wear nice lightly padded bras. They bring ur boobs together and form a sexy cleavage. Her boobs are too far apart and droopy. If only i can help her buy a bra, she will love me. She wud also look slimmer and less heavy on top.

  • Jfk May 31, 2013 at 11:04 am

Stop being judgmental. Single mother or not,a mother is a mother. Its her life and if she choose not to share the father of her baby with the world i dont see how that is your problem. Take a seat mbok!

  • Hurperyermie May 31, 2013 at 11:05 am

  • Libra May 31, 2013 at 11:06 am

    @ kappy story…..mschewww

  • HRS May 31, 2013 at 11:33 am

@Kappy, go and drink agbo jor! They are talking about “Motherhood”, not “Who’s the father of your child” or “How to juggle a husband and a baby” , focus on the topic, besides the identity of the father of her baby is none of your business, as long as they are talking about motherhood, every and anyone who is a mother is entitled to an opinion regarding the top, be it single mother, married, divorced, widowed or whatevs, so seat ur behind down here _|

On the topic jare, Omawunmi, u look fabulous! love this look!

By the way, the stlyist of the “Summer Beauty” spread no try at all! Ahan! Model is not wearing a firm bra, and that top is just wrong! Makes the bust look saggy, A busty lady like that with slimmer figure should wear something with so much space at the waist line/ belly area. Asides that, the look would have been perfect!

  • Dora the explorer May 31, 2013 at 11:35 am

Kappy the purpose of the spread is not to establish perfect families but to highlight a celebrated mother.. I get the point you are trying make but we need not be one way minded.. life is not a straight line..

  • be real May 31, 2013 at 11:57 am

  • Mma May 31, 2013 at 4:14 pm

She looks really good. Natural and pretty.

  • zzzzz May 31, 2013 at 4:49 pm

Some people would crucify me for what I want to write, the only kind of single mother hood that is excusable is If your widowed, divorce or were a teenager and you were naive. But in a situation where a grown woman thinks time is not on her side and she gets pregnant just to raise children on her own, beware O. I read a book by Joyce Meyers were she said God would not be responsible for our Ishmael as in you are on your own. He is only responsible for your Isaac

    • hil June 1, 2013 at 11:38 am

My dear, Joyce Meyer did not write the bible.

  • Terungwa May 31, 2013 at 5:03 pm

    Great achievement, woman!

  • Anne May 31, 2013 at 6:52 pm

Summer beauty? Is the Mag based outside Naija or now we have winter, spring etc in Naija? Lololol u people!!!

    • Bunmi June 1, 2013 at 3:27 am

Tell them oooo! Nigerians just copy anything without thinking. What a shame.

  • Rainbow May 31, 2013 at 7:25 pm

How dare you Kappy!!!!! I got to your post and that was it. I have taken several breathes to calm down. Motherhood and marriage and two subjects matters. So would Omawumi appeal to your moral sense if she marries tomorrow, do you realize that she can pick a man of her choice with a snap of 2 fingers but have chosen to wait for a man who would respect, honor and adore her and she will cherish as her husband. I am single mum and this has cut right home. I have not chosen my status but nonetheless, I am still a very dedicated mother who is doing so extremely well in comparison to many. So please go and hide then take that seat. Msschew!!!!!!

  • Aryah May 31, 2013 at 9:49 pm

@ Kappy, WOW! I never thought I would ever hear a more ignorant statement.
“dere are beta celebrities dat should be on dat cover.”
Because she is a single mother?!! I am speechless.

  • mercy May 31, 2013 at 10:00 pm

Wow, kappy or crappy! Why are u so judgemental? It is in the bible that children are gifts from God! And that he knows us even before we were formed. It is God who saw the mother fit and qualified! Before he chose to send a child through her. So the woman who chose to keep a child when she had an option to abort it, to avoid curses from people like you. She chose to bear it. What makes you think the married women always turn out to be good mothers? My mum is a single parent. And she did a very good job in raising me up. Better than most married couple. If it were a man that make that comment, I wouldn’t be surprise. Buh for a woman, haba. Women don’t love themselves and its sad. Kudos to omowunmi jor and every other single mother include mine!

    • Nawa OOO June 2, 2013 at 9:04 pm

single motherhood should not be encouraged full stop. thats what she is saying. a child needs two parents now if its a divorce death, it does not matter. but if you have a child out of wedlock and you are a single mom, please stop looking for praise.

  • Aisha Mami Buba May 31, 2013 at 11:17 pm
