    @ Toyin/NaijaBiz,
Open your mind before your mouth. Don’t spit a word unless or otherwise, it is more valuable than your silence.
You don’t know her…you know only what you see of her…what you allow yourself to engage without intimacy…or responsibility… Standing in front of her, you remain outside of her…apart…posed regard pretending to be involved…invested…protected…cushioned from fear…waiting jeopardy. You don’t know her…nothing of what you truly know…is the her you are prepared to see…be…beyond the she that is seeded in you…seeing yourself…in her.
One more advice, before you criticize somebody, make sure you are better than him/her.

So after you have called it for what it is, who are you and what are you known for? You are still obscure even with your shame intact. BBA is not an morality show, even the other housemates you guys applaud have their nudity scattered everywhere on the internet in the name of shower hour.
let’s say she misbehaved, it doesn’t behoove you to judge and call her names without letting us know if you are better than her, while you are at it ask yourself, what have you done that is challenging of late?

When you go through the stress of buying flour, butter, egg and everything else required to bake a cake, mix it all fine, pour into the pan, but then just don’t put it in the oven…someone walks in and asks ‘Are you making a cake?’ Please do you say no, just because you didn’t put it in the oven?

That’s how I see this ‘We didn’t have sex’ thing. You didn’t have penetrative sex (that I believe, and that was only because Angelo Dada held back), but you went very far, which I applaud you for admitting. You got carried away and didn’t think the move through. Human? Yes.

Beverly seems a lovely, passionate, even if a bit misguided young lady. You girl can mature and flourish into much better. Aim for it, learn from mistakes, and don’t take the harsh and sometimes plain wicked comments too much to heart.

And while at it, learn to keep some things to yourself. It’s not everything you know, your mouth must spew forth. Love you.

People should let this girl be, read her lip she said she wasn’t thinking. Am not in support of what she did @ all but enough of the negative comment. Looking at her background, lady like her do whatever they want or feel @ a particular time, she didn’t grew up in a moral environment. just imagine the way Barrack girls behave or talk, d first time i found myself in their midst i was like hell noooooo, they talk about sex, call some body part as if ……. i was so irritated but thank God i wasn’t there alone. my friend that was with me had to caution me before i say something that will cause problem. we all saw what she did, she went too far with Angelo be a life TV program but no amount of blame or negative word can revert that. i pray she learn from her mistake.

If u feel what she did was wrong next time don’t watch. Who r u people to judge her? God, Her mother, father or siblings?
Bev….U need to talk less cos talking just opens u up some more. u owe no one an explanation for what u do with urself. It’s ur life not theirs. U r young so you have years to make up for mistakes…be smart.

finally women are sharing their stories on abuse and not being timid ,where is uncle ali baba and aunty stella o, I want to see you write on how the male child should treat and respect the female before you tell her how to treat him. either way people want to justify it , the fact is don’t hit her even when you know she is wrong cause if something go wrong prison or hanging will be the way out for the culprit ’cause this is still naija and those who supported you to abuse her won’t be there to object. don talk my own.

When someone voluntarily puts her behavior in the PUBLIC realm (or infact before any audience), she grants such public or audience the unfettered right and privilege to comment thereupon. So, the self-anointed Voltrons on this thread should quit consuming Panadol for someone else’s headache.

Personally, I found Ms. Beverely’s behaviour on the little bit of BBA that I did watch to be crass, crude and uncouth for the most part (a chaff really), but for all I know she could be an angel out of the BBA environment. When I see the latter I will duly comment (or commend) upon it, but for now all I know is that she was a cringe-worthy mighing chaff on BBA.

@(ja realist, so after you have talked about, criticized and condemned her to your fill. The question remains, are you of a better person? If you think you are, please pick the form for next season; note that your chances of being selected is very slim, so while auditioning, you just have to kill to make sure you get on the show. When you successfully make it, go show them tiger, of the good stuff you are made of!!!!
Whatever her behaviour might have been on BBA doesnt change the fact that this same country we claim that Bev didnt represent well, is still well known for terrorism, fraud, child abuse, child trafficing and prostitution, jungle justice……….
Please country people fix urselves and stop disturbing Beverly. and where is the good guy Melvin, why is he not granting interviews right, left and center.

I am really marveled at some people’s comment. There is nothing like calling a spade a spade. For those seeing nothing shameless in Beverly’s act in the BBA house..no comment! for chrissake we know almost everyone have sex, but in the privacy of their home. So let’s stop trying to paint right, what is clearly not right.

The value of morals in our society has come as low as what we get in BBA. smh!

    • moi

So now that she has apologised, you’ll keep judging her? Try to remove the ‘little stones’ in your eyes before attempting to wash the gravel off someone else’ eyes, how well are you representing your family, church, generation too. Until you close that ‘closet gap” of what you do in your privacy and how people see you, you have no right to talk. Move on Miss Moralist.

    September 2, 2013 at 4:06 pm

Nigerians please Bev is not the reason why we have corrupt leaders, child trafficing & prostitution, jungle justice, rape, child marriage, gender issues et al….
I might want to keep calm when its said that she embarassed herself but not this country 9ja which people struggle everyday sourcing for survival means, only cos there’s no camera to keep track of what we do.
Kegan won last season and he sure had sex with a female, Richard won the other season; a married man that also had sex on the show. I didnt see these country people criticize their reps. Its this the line where it is ok for men to do as they like or is this the case of Nigerians always being so bitter, unforgiving and morally upright, yet our country still no good.
I will remind everyone judging here that BBA is not that much of a morality, if you are all that moral, why torture yourself subscribing to the show, cos even the well behaved housemates have their nude pictures everywhere on the internet. Are you telling me that it is african to display your nudity all in the name of winning 300kdollars(cos yes, they all signed and agreed that their pics will be displayed for VIP viewing)
So keeping criticism positive is the least anyone can do considering the fact that we are even not known in the continent for even a good deed that we claim to be of better individuals.
Bev this, morality that, what have you done lately that is daring other than seating on the computer and waiting for the next story to digress and criticize..You don chop?

I forgot to add, Natasha the Malawi girl couldnt speak English, didnt have any good diction, couldnt comprehend alot of words, that she had to ask biggie over and over again to explain. And she had a country fellow, Fatima who was just the opposite. Malawians supported Natasha the same way the did Fatima.
Imagine if this was Nigerian housemates, the question remains, couldnt have Nigerian called for her dismissal and abuse her for disgracing us for her inability to speak English.
Note that Natasha was a fulfilled woman who is happy with her voluntary works in HIV/AIDS programmes in her country despite her shortfall in English, she was still touching lives.
Could NIgerians have been forgiving if Natasha was Nigerian. Bev had this good side about her heart and the fact that she didnt think evil of people in the house, she wasnt rude and selfimposing and didnt have hate in her heart for her countryman. Unilike during the time of Vina & Karen.

@I Concur: first, I do not have to be a “better” person (whatever that means) to comment on something that someone PUBLICLY impart on an audience that I am part of. As I noted before, when someone voluntarily decides to share her life with an audience, she grants that audience the right and privilege to share its thoughts thereupon. Would you be spouting the same line if all of the comments here on Beverely were complimentary? Furthermore, what someone DOES is distinct from who they are, so while I do not knoe Beverely from a can of beans (and therefore cannot tell you if she is “better” than the Nigerians that you believe deserve criticism), I have no compunction criticizing her CONDUCT — particularly when she willingly put it on PUBLIC display. To paraphrase the rote saying: if she cannnot stand the heat, she should have kept her arse in the PRIVACY of her home (like the rest of us supposedly “not better” persons).

PS: Btw, while I do not want to descend into a discussion anchored on emotionalism (which is often a refuge when rationality fails), Nigeria, with all of its corrupt leaders, child trafficing & prostitution, jungle justice, rape, child marriage, gender issues et al….still manages to produce good folk with stellar mores. Nevertheless, Nigeria, for better or/and for worse, is ultimately is the product of the ACT of EVERY Nigerian (some by commission and others by omission), including Ms. Beverly’s (and even your’s)! Our so-called “leaders” (I personaally prefer to label them as rulers) are not from outer space and for the most part are reflective of the mores and values of the larger society. I know that we do not like to hear that — but that’s Naija Reality!

    • ILoveGenevieve

      September 2, 2013 at 7:45 pm

The argument is NOT about Beverly (whom you comically chose to address as Ms. Beverly on a comment thread of an entertainment site) signing up herself for criticism by the public and putting herself in a compromising situation by her practical actions in continental TV, but the unending criticism and bashing by sexually active and potential voyeuristic people (that you are possibly less different from) taking the moral stand of judging. Some might mistake the verbosity in your unintended thesis in defence of your judgemental personality as intelligence. Fortunately, not me. I feel sorry for people who have to interact with you on a daily basis.

She said that the video vixen thing just happened she didn’t plan it but aren’t they subjected to doing a lot of things considered immoral by the Bible’s standards (correct me if I am wrong)? How do you draw God into it? Please don’t forget we have choices and we make decisions that we are accountable for, from those decisions we learn and grow. If someone says “Beverly is shameless” how is it criticsm?? The person is simply calling a spade a spade cos based on the BBA show, its true.
Enough with all these “you have no right to judge” comments. no one is judging, we are simply saying the truth..
so we should all commend her for all the rubbish she displayed in public?? so that our children too will do the same???
If she wants ppl to stop saying the truth about her actions on BBA, then she should stop granting interviews that talk about her life in the BB house. Its really that simple.
I am not a saint but if I carry my two left legs to a reality show and misbehave , please my fellow Nigerians, feel free to call me out on all my wrongdoings.

@ ILoveGenevieveSeptember 2, 2013 at 7:45 PM, fortunately I do not write for everyone and accordingly I am not the least offended that you do not care for my so-called “verbosity”. Furthermore, fully understand and appreciate that (apparently unlike Ms. Beverely) that when I voluntarily share my opinions with an audience (or otherwise place it in the PUBLIC realm) that it grants such audience or public the right and privilege to comment thereupon (including snide comments and criticism like yours). Nevertheless, it seems pointedly ironic (if not more than a tad bit hypocritical) that someone like you who have precipitously JUDGED someone else as possessing of a “judgmental personality” have spent most of your drivel on this thread JUDGING the comments of others. Perhaps you need to acquaint yourself with an introspecive mirror. Good day and good luck!

Unfortunately @9Ja realist is so unreal and her points of argument seem to be all over the place. First off you refuse to tackle the part of argument on the BBA show being not a morality show. You chose to leave it out and tackle on your subject Bev. Answer me, how is it African to agree to sign up for a show that shows you having you bath to the whole world? How is that a moral act? In that line, even the housemates you think that represented well, did they really take the moral path?
Now if you must understand my point remains that majority on Nigerians have refused to listen to this young lady own up to her not so behaved personality and apologized which I have to believe she will adjust her life where needed. The right thing is to move on people, calling her whore, loose, disgrace doesn’t solve anything, cos I maintain Bev is not responsible for what is wrong in Africa.
Now what are moral upright people doing watching BBA? When there are a lot of Christian channel to be watched on cable. Her name is Beverly Osu and we know her and her antics. What is your name or my name? We are just bunch of critics that probably have a lot of issues unresolved trailing us; Struggling with one form of addiction or bad behavior or other ills.
So next time you think since people put there self out there and its all left for you to tear them apart in perpetual condemnation and name calling, think again. Ask yourself, am I any better? Can I even dare to put myself on display for any form of competition? Just to even make comments on blogs, we use funny names to disguise our real names.

@ I Concur, unfortunately you keep missing the point. It’s not about morality (I have no interest in holding myself up as a moral compass to anyone else), but rather that those who put themselves on public display should not be be surprised to get feedback from the same public. As I previously asked you, would you be questioning the “business” of the public to comment on her behavior if all of the comments were complimentary? Accordingly, the real HYPOCRISY here (Bird’s Eye View, take note :-)) is not that folks are commenting on Bev’s behavior, but that you do not like the CONTENT of the comments (rather judgmental, some might say) Furthermore, it is completely irrelevant whether members of the public are “better” (again, whatever that means), because they have not put their own lives on PUBLIC display. Conversely, anyone who elects to put her business on PUBLIC display should have no rational expectation of privacy. That is a simple enough point that has NOTHING to do with morality.

@9ja realist, there is a different between positive and destructive criticism..I guess its free for enyone to hide in their computers and use slay words on people just because they put they are in the public eye. There are alot of critics here that are very logical and some are outright name calling.
And that begs the question, why is all the audience playing a blind eye that other housemates nudity is all over the internet, even the grace ful Dellish has her nudity everywhere, yet my Nija people consider it ok. Is it not sort of a double standard?
Its alright though, everyone keep disecting and calling her names; afterall she chose to be in the public eye.
and when u write better and put it in paranthesis and go ahead to include a bracket speech saying, you dont know what that means……mmmhhh, you are just being overtly sarcastic right?

I have read all d comments here and i just have dis to say.i agree with u @i concur.why are u still judging beverly?abi she dey owe u?.bba is over so just move on cos i believe she already has.atleast she accepted her mistakes, how many of u judging her can own up to their mistakes.she is still young and has many years to make up for her mistakes.pls, dnt say bev disgraced naija cos naija is already a disgrace on its own.nothing to off, zero image, bad reputation, terrorism, bad government and u want to take it ur frustration on bev?smh.bev lived her life dere and it goes to show dat she is not perfect and not above mistakes, she is human.u think calling her all sorts of names will affect her or make her change.bba is not a morality show and will never be and dats why its rated 18 so cut d crap about moral values.truth remains non of d husemates dere are decent cos i dnt see why someone with moral values can go to a show dat shows his or her shower time to d whole of africa,is dat wat u call moral values.if u dnt like it next time dnt watch.and who are u to judge, are u God??if God judges u d way u are doing to bev,do u thin u will survive it.truth is she has made name for herself, wat of u??if u dnt like her doesnt mean some other people dnt love her and wish her well.so just cut d crap and free d girl joor.dats wat u people did to goldie(R.I.P) and u think u will do d same to bev,u are on a long thing.bev is a strong girl and no amount of ur hate can stop her from achieving wat she wants to.go bev,i love u and God loves u more.the sky is ur starting point.God bless u girl.dnt allow d hate pull u down,u are stronger dan it.wat doesnt kill u makes u stronger and it better starts running.

Beverly if you are reading this, i was one of those who almost fainted when all that drama happened in the house, wished you can have access to all the facebook comments (It was a painful thing for Nigerian’s to watch their own on national tv in that manner ) Let me caution here that , no matter how much you will try to stop the pain most BBA nigerians went through in the open FORUM’s ( I wept one day over the bashing the Other African countries gave to us , because NIGERIAN’S have always behaved in a straight -line behaviour when it comes to sex, kissing, and any immoral feelings in public, so dont blame us , we were seriously mocked they flooded the BBA forums, tv and facebook with messy comments just to remind us that Beverly is Nigerian even when some of us decided we were no longer going to mind their comments it refused to go as every day the first topic some always started with was Beverly, mehnnnn it was traumatic i swear, i suffered more because i am a BBA commentator ) i had to hide my face in shame by stepping away from FORUM’s like Madville to mention but a few. The humiliation we Nigerian’s on BBA platform suffered is little compare to what i am reading in here. The deed is done no matter how much anyone chose to paint it in a modest way. (Infact, let me state here that the little comments i have read in here is modest compare to what took place on facebook and BBA platforms)

Moving away sha from the drama, i like to advice you thus: USE THE NEGATIVE CRITICISM TO YOUR ADVANTAGE NOW THAT YOU ARE YOUNG AND THE CRITICISM STILL ON HIGH, what i mean is that you should go higher than this by WRITTING A BOOK from the criticism , turn it around fast and bookmark your self to history by writting a best seller book about BEVERLY THE MAKOTI OSU …..consider my suggestion and be remembered in history as the wonder girl who changed her life from the hating public to a famous writter.
”YES YOU CAN ” goodluck baby sis (I hated you but i have forgiven you, enjoy the roller coaster called ”life”)
