That’s the word strikingly beautiful . And she would have been a better pick for miss world or miss universe .No offence but the other chick thou pretty was very forgettable and lacked presence. This I will remember in the mix of 150 cosmetically enhanced looking western and North American girls whose perfection would not have been no where near this lady. Some times I wonder if Ben and his brothers are in this competition to win or are they just using it as a platform to fleece gullible state government mtchewww

Honestly i dont understand all this mbgn contest. like seriously, all the girls that have won or ‘earned’ a title look like the typical medusa type. I dont get it, that anna girl, did they expect to win miss world (when it is obviously impossible). for Nigeria to even win that title again we need another agbani darego dark and beautiful that represents african and our culture, beauty that is rare, even someone like lupita. but instead they are picking all these bleaching light skinned chicks, i just dont get it- that do not represent africa in anyway but rather represent western ways. if lupita was too go miss world she has a high chance of winning as her beauty is african and lovely. am not saying the other winners are not beautiful, but the miss world judges actualy want to see african beauty like genevieve and agbani darego. not these bleaching girls. enuff said!!! notwithstanding this lady is beautiful and we want to see more of that, more of the african culture being embraced. the judges want to also see beautiful african names like agbani darego and alek wek not anna berry… like seriously.

I hope you know that Anna is Biracial before you make conclusions that she has joined the craze bleaching clique.

    • Abana

      February 6, 2014 at 5:32 pm

How is a fair skinned girl representing western ways? Thats ridiculous. Are you aware that Africa isn’t just black or dark? Forget the streets of Lagos, walk on the streets of any village in the east, you see a diverse mix of complexions – very fair, fair, caramel, chocolate and very dark. Are we to now discriminate against naturally light skinned girls because some people choose to bleach their skin? Thats like saying only girls with blue eyes and blond hair should represent France. It just seems like there’s a gang up against light skinned girls whether natural or artificial. Its very unfair.

      February 6, 2014 at 6:23 pm

Exactly. Many likes for your comment. Once u r light skinned, it means uv bleached. So annoying.

    • Bimpe

      February 6, 2014 at 7:43 pm

no offence but light skinned beauty stands out in no way. the miss world judges want us to stand out not look the same. until we pick out the agbani darego type thats when anyone would win. I am speaking from the judges perspective, this is what they expect, thats why agbani darego won… durrr!!! Stop misquoting me, we are all beautiful… same way on the runway skinny models are expected. it just how it is. let them get another agbani darego type that simply it, i have even forgotten what that anna girl looks, i mistake her for other people because she doesnt stand out.
ps. there is no way a light skinned person stays under the nigerian sun and doesnt turn chocolate, except if u r mixed race, you are obviously using some kinda skin enhancer… in which is a ok. i am not dark skinned, but i am telling dark skin stands out, and it is a better chance of winning as it represents Africa, and these judges want Africa!!!! GET OVER IT PLEASE!!!! CIAO.

@Bimple, am an igbo girl who was naturally born with a fair skin. Please does that make me less Nigerian or African? or is there any cream i can use to turn my natural fair skin to Luipta’s ?
Before you write a comment , try to think hard.

Not because BN has given you a platform to speak, you then begin to use it as a platform for discriminate fair-skinned African girls. Please Bimpe start being intelligent today.

Very ignorant coTones. Nigerians come in different skin tones….and any color sight be able to Represent us.

You forget Miss World is a political event. Naija isn’t gonna win again anytime soon. They have accomplished their mission there i.e. to get the continent hooked on their event. Mission done. Plus at that time Naija was just a muslim country and there was still plenty wahala, add bokoharam and homophobia….that event will not be held here for a long time.

    • Bee

      February 6, 2014 at 10:17 pm

Given that the event has to be held in the winner’s country…. No 9ja winner regardless of how fab she is.

@Bimpe you sound like a bitter contestant who didt win, so the Bruces should force girls that look like Agbani to come out and contest right? It is whoever the see at they screening they will pick, Think before u talk! For your information Miss world is very political
