Beyonce & Bill O'Reilly - April 2014 - BellaNaija.com 01

Bill take cover, because the Beyhive community is coming for you next.

Bill O’Reilly, the host of Fox News‘ “The O’Reilly Factor” is once again slamming the American pop/R&B star.

In March 2014, while interviewing Russell Simmons, he said Beyoncé‘s “Partition” music video (watch here) is overly sexy.

“I believe an entertainer like Beyonce and a mogul like you have an obligation to protect children. Not put out exploitive garbage that you know harms impressionable children” he said.

“Beyoncé is part of the problem” he says in a conversation on young girls in the African-American community getting pregnant.

Bill is absolutely correct, no one cares about morality anymore, all what people are after is fame, riches and all.

The song was trashy and beyond horrible. Always switch channels when it comes on… Those who worship this woman are on a long thing honestly…

I don’t like Bill O’Reilly for the most part, but I think he is spot on on this one.
Adults can decide, impressionable young girls – not so much…
But then again, it is not Bey’s job to be role models to our young ladies, it is the job of their mothers and aunties and nanas and teachers etc.
But the fact remains, Beyonce is the leading female in music entertainment and you can’t help but see her – even if you were to hide your young girls!

people don’t like bill o reilly because he has values and he’s old school, yes sometimes he’s a bit too blunt and aggressive but i’m a fan of his show and i agree with him 100% on this comment. it’s not only black teenagers who get pregnant but black families are on welfare more than any other race in america and then you have the violence.

Yes,no one cares about morality anymore. However I wouldn’t blame Beyoncé for black girls getting pregnant. I’d rather blame the parents who don’t monitor their kids and the moms who feel too shy to teach their daughters sex education and the functions of their bodies. Teens will always try to experiment, you can’t stop that.Even Beyoncé dressed in a hijab and not dancing can’t.However like they say, knowledge is power. If you know what to do and what to avoid, teen pregnancy rates will reduce drastically.

Only crazy people will allow super stars be influences to their children. Beyonce is not responsible for young black girls getting pregnant. We are responsible for ourselves. What she is doing is her profession and if it is sex that she wants to sell, that is her business but i will not follow her to whine naked on a stage just to be cool because she doesn’t know me and in control of the choices I make. If you are morally upright, you won’t hear drunk in love or partition and go the next day to shag the next boy and get pregnant. Girls, please note that you are responsible for yourselves, you are in control of whatever decisions you make. You don’t need Beyonce or Rhianna or me to influence you to close your legs. The Beyonce married before having a child and we don’t see her jumping from man to man so that is the lesson we need to take out of her superstardom and whatever she is selling. God bless us all. Thank you

@ Mrs Chidukane…God bless you. So because Otokoto were a popular ritualist when I was growing up and people taught they were cool and rich so i should have joined the gang and started killing people because they will influence me? Please everyone responsible for their mistakes and their choices. Beyonce is working to feed her family and if she is making wrong morality choices that is her business and doesn’t mean we should emulate that. Please and please and please, close your legs young girls!

nobody shud blame anybody for anybody’s actions. yes Bey may not be right, im not a fan but i believe everybody has a choice as to what to do with their lives. Parents nid to teach their kids to grow up having strong opinions of right and wrong.

I don’t even need to police and I am 100% sure my kids are not aware of beyonce, rihanna, mileys etc etc’s existence. We as parent’s try to live a life worthy of emulation and make our kids feel very comfortable sharing their thoughts and worries with us and thank God they naturally gravitate toward’s us for guidance and leadership.

lol, Beyonce dated, got married and had a child. So people that want to look up to her should follow that example. I’m tired of parents neglecting their responsibilities and blaming music starts and celebrities for wrongly influencing their children. You should be your child’s role model.

I cannot believe I actually somewhat agree with Bill O’Reilly on an issue and for once he didn’t sound cray-cray. First and foremost, no one is more responsible for children than their parents and family. Train them well and they’ll know what not to follow. That being said, Beyonce made the mistake years ago of setting herself up to be a role model. No one disturbs Rihanna for being raunchy because from the get-go we knew who she was and she has said that she’s living life for herself. Beyonce spent years being a good role model and intentionally or not, locked herself into a box such that she is a model not just for the generation that was young when she started, but for young girls in general. There’s a video on youtube where she talks about how she wants to break free of that and be her own artist. Unfortunately it’s too late for her to do that without generating controversy. I also agree with Bill O’Reilly that just because she threw in Chimamanda’s words doesn’t mean she understands or depicts feminism or emancipation. Sexual liberation the way Beyonce defines it is not an absolute positive thing in all contexts anyway. Ask “sexually liberated” women who have turned into cooks and housekeepers and done multiple abortions for their useless boyfriends, only for them to be pushed to the side for another woman. A woman has a right to her sexual needs and has control over her own body, but in the light of relationships these days I think we need to do some serious re-examination about what sexual liberation means

yes because she gave birth to all black girls abi so she is responsible for training them. let’s blame Beyonce. Is Oprah not on tv? Abi is Michelle Obama not famous enough for young African-American girls to emulate? Yes let us put this on Beyonce, because before became a superstar young African-American girls weren’t already getting pregnant. And the Beyonce we’re talking about, didn’t she get married before having a child? And how many men can lay claim to having had her, how many? When almost all the black famous males have ran a train on our sister Kimmy. Yes let us blame Beyonce because she decided to explore her sexuality, let us nail her to the cross, as if the baby-mama, baby-daddy wasn’t already deeply ingrained in the African-American culture even before Queen Bey was born.
