Styled Wedding Shoot | Brooklyn Elopement | A. Anaiz Photography | Black Bride, Love | BellaNaija 019This take on a charming Brooklyn elopement captures all the romance of the ultimate couple getaway!

The creative team led by Elle’s Couture Events, created an elegant styled wedding with chic and earthy elements – brown hues, a floral crown and ‘naked’ wedding cake, proving less is more.

Awwwwwww ….Oh please don’t awww me….pictures….lovely flowers, champagnes, and the flashlights ….. Wedding….Women, they get all excited about nothing … and then they marry him, set out to try to change HIM, and when they have changed him, they do not like him ANYMORE.
This life sef ….What do women really want?

loooool..iyke, don’t be angry.we have been conditioned from childhood to be swayed by such( i blame fairy-tales, Walt Disney, Mills & Boon, harlequin romance and Hollywood!!!!!).didn’t you notice that every book and movie stopped at “and they lived happily ever after” or “they rode lovingly into the sunset”. nobody talked about how to resolve conflict, respect personal space; who will take out the garbage?, how many children should we have?how to deal with in-laws, friends and exes…Noooo every family was the Brady bunch!!!

so forgive us for being hopeless romantics who want candlelit dinners, long walks on the beach, bubble baths and rose petals strewn on our big canopied queen size beds. forgive us for realising that you are not (and probably never will be) Prince Charming or Edward (from Twilight and Pretty Woman) and that we married a mere mortal with weaknesses (who leaves the toilet seat up, watches TV whilst we do all he household choresn, can get angry and keep malice, may want be alone sometimes and not engage in any conversation, might want to go out with his friends and not us, might fall asleep while we nurse and fuss over a sick child, might be with us at a function and his eyes and thoughts wander to another woman)

forgive us indeed cos we were not taught.

My Dear, you said it all. Thanks for replying Iyke back. Nigerian men are hardly romantic. They think money is everything. There are little ,little things that matters to a women. Sex, zero. ” Open make I enter” They think having sex with their wife or partner after an arguement solves the problem or fix and angry woman’s emotion. All it does is to pile up and pile up until the woman can’t take it anymore and the next thing you know is the ” happily every after ” ends up in divorce court. Thanks Lila. You nailed it.

If only we can have a 4 man wedding in this part of the world!!! Lovely, lovely, lovely. Its my dream to have a small party with only immediate family and closest pals. All this colours of the day, table setting, aso-ebi ladies, mother and father’s colour things look exhausting, that at the end of the day, all the couple do is sleep!!!

Didn’t know peple got invites, stationery, wedding gowns, bridesmaids, suits etc for an elopement!

Beautiful shoot. Giving me ideas of what to do with all those crates of drink-bottles, brown and white, that are taking up valuable space in my mother’s store. At least candles are cheap. They’ll make good centerpieces.
