U.S Father Arrested after 9 Month Old Daughter Dies in Hot Car

Steven Darnell Lillie, a 31-year-old father of a 9-month-old baby girl, has been arrested after allegedly leaving her in the back seat of a sweltering pick-up truck for hours, resulting in her death. 

Lillie is said to have “forgotten” his daughter, Anna Marie Lillie, in the vehicle, USA Today reports.

Police authorities say the child’s core body temperature was over 109 degrees when she arrived at Wuesthoff Hospital, where she was pronounced dead.

He has been charged with aggravated manslaughter.
