Uh Oh! Angry Girlfriend drags Boyfriend on the Floor over Palmchat Chatting

Palmchat - Bellanaija - September 2014

LOL! Okay I think she’s had enough. You can’t just take a girl to the mall on a date and all you do is bury your head in your phone chatting the moment away. Which Lagos girl wouldn’t snap? Seriously! These photos of a tug-of-war between two supposed lovebirds have been trending online for a while now and here’s the scoop.

Those who really know the full story said the not-so-fortunate guy owes his girlfriend a long overdue explanation for his divided attention and mischievous laughter while chatting with someone  on his phone. His girlfriend who had endured the excruciating wait for some quality time with her man, had began to share her moments from a movie they had seen at a cinema when he switched to his Palmchat mode (eyes fixed on the phone screen and fingers punching the phone’s keypad). The poor girl demanded for the attention she deserved politely at first…yes, politely. But things didn’t stay that way for long.

The boyfriend apologized and put his cell phone on ‘sleep mode’ while his girl resumed talking. In less than 5 minutes he pulls out his phone while his girl is looking him straight in the eye, flicks the cell phone’s function button and returns to his Palmchat mode; this time sending several loud chuckles to whoever he was chatting up. This was when all hell broke loose.

Angry babe demands an explanation
The story the way it was told continued with an obviously angry girl asking her man for some explanation for the gross negligence: “Guy, howfar who be dis person you dey chat sef wey make you no send me?” Sources say that the guy shushed his girl so that he could finish chatting on Palmchat without disturbance. That was when she threw all mannerism to the air and went ballistic, reaching for the cell phone. The guy tried to hold onto his property but “dis girl na iron lady“… she pulled the poor guy along the Yaba, Lagos bus stop while passers-by enjoyed some interesting drama unfolding before their eyes.

It doesn’t always have to be this way
It’s agreed that mobile social platforms can be quite an interesting experience especially with “Nigeria’s trending platform”, Palmchat overrunning the young and hearty right now (for more info on Palmchat, visit or visit the microsite; In spite of our love for these platforms we can still find that balance to give attention to whom attention is due or we shall end up having more of this bizarre yet very hilarious secret photos overrunning the web.

But for now, let’s savor these viral photos. It is just crazy…see the look on her face while in the bus. lol.

This sounds funny. I bet it wouldn’t be if the roles were reversed — and the guy was the one assaulting the lady. Yes, whichever way you choose to view this, it is assault and domestic violence and should be totally condemned irrespective of who is dishing it out to who. And btw nothing justifies physical assault or violence.

Not funny. If the reverse was the case, we’d be screaming assault and domestic violence. Cos a lady is perpetuating it we’re simply “LOLing”
