Guess Who Just Arrived in Lagos? It’s Boris Kodjoe!

Boris Kodjoe

Yup! Hollywood actor Boris Kodjoe just got into Lagos for an event he will be attending later tonight.

Dressed in an all-black outfit we have to say the 41-year-old German actor fits right in.

The first time my uncle travelled, he did it through Murtala airport. On his way out, he said it was the best airport he’d ever seen, on his way back, he said it was the worst. Nigeria needs to open their eyes.

I hope human rights activists will not crucify him for comming to nigeria. cause they blasted mariah carey when she came to naija to perform at a bank event. that particular bank fired some of its workers some weeks before they brought mariah carey. she was paid 1 million dollars

That is the Ghana blood flowing through in. I am proud to know that he is half Ghanaian and half German. He is fine like that!

Is Bellanaija against me priding myself about Boris being half Ghanaian? You guys flaunt your international actors all the time, and we all celebrate them together. So why was my previous comment not approved and posted. Stop being bias please. I even didn’t know he was half German and half Ghanaian until I read an article about him. So it’s obvious that most people are like me and would love to know.

German Actor. Suddenly they forgot he’s half Ghanaian. Even his very last Ghanaian name couldn’t ‘remind’ them. Imagine if he was a half Nigerian, scratch that, quarter Nigerian with a middle name Olufantabialofridaysunday, like we won’t sleep. Even the Kweku Ananse perched on the mango tree far away in the forest in my village will hear about it. Omo Naija!

      December 12, 2014 at 10:22 pm

Lmao BN this is why we say stop calling Chiwetel Ejiofor Nigerian. Y’all don pissed Ghana the hell off with this ‘German’ stunt.

      December 12, 2014 at 10:26 pm

the guy is proudly Ghanaian , I heard he started shouting at the pilot to let him parachute out over Ghanaian air space, but the stupid pilot decided to kidnap him to naija. See how misrable he looks with his fine self. With that T shirt that reads Ghananian for for life.

    • Esi

      December 13, 2014 at 12:11 am

@Daisy, laughing so hard at your Kweku Ananse comment. Please explain to our Nigerian cousins– they may not know who the great Ananse is.

You’re absolutely right though– Boris has always claimed Ghana, his kids have Ghanaian names and he visits from time to time. Heck! he even visited the woeful Black Stars in camp in Miami a few days before our disgraceful world cup performance.

Some of us actually know about Kweku Ananse…I had a book when I was little, The Children of Kweku Ananse and Other Stories. Must have read it a million times, still read it sef.

How did he cope with the terrible heat and disorder at MMIA?! I am personally very ashamed of that airport, very. To think this is an international airport and the first impression a visitor to Nig would experience. Shame on all the aviation ministers and every other person in a position of power that has had the opportunity to make a difference but failed to do so.

Bigger stars go to Lagos and return there regularly. You Know why? Yea..the financial benefits – they make more in Naija daily than they would make monthy in the U.S..

I thought ghanians do not come on this site, cos is quiet and civilized here.they tend to bear grudge a lot I noticed and always tell nigerians to get out of their what are they starting up here again..I do visit their site before but not any more.i only go to nigeria and south african site cos they are more understanding, inclusive and accepting of others.sorry I have to say this but , they act jealous observation any way

    • Esi

      December 13, 2014 at 9:42 pm

@jake ro, if your comment is meant to incite, it failed. I am a Ghanaian and I am laughing at the level of ignorance displayed in those words.

jake ro, Its unfortunate that you had such an experience from some Ghanaian sites, but a bad experiences with a few people should not be used to label everyone else from that group. the global lesson being learnt currently is that for AFRICA to move forward, Nigeria, Ghana and everyone must unite and learn to live with each other and do things together in order to progress. If we insist on being honest, the popular opinion around is that the Nigerian think the Ghanaian is too slow and the Ghanaian think the Nigerian is too loud and aggressive. Assuming this is who we truely are, maturity requires us to just find ways of relating that will minimize rubbing each other the wrong way. Once in a while it might happen, but we can co exhist without feeling someone is jealous. In the whole of Africa, I am tempted to believe that Ghana and Nigeria are the closest in terms of relations, and its a good thing. So such a platform should be used to engender the development of such relations instead of killing it. Ghana and Nigeria has an embarrassing history (aliens compliance) that should never be repeated and such sentiments do not help. I hesitate to post this but i think we should deal with it.
